Onion to NPK

An experiment has been conducted to study the effects of application of different level of organic fertiliser and inorganic fertiliser on economic of onion production as well as the fertiliser uptake by plant. From the data it was found that the 25% RDF + 75% N of poultry manure was most effective treatment in respect to economics of onion cultivation for higher net return with greater benefit cost (B: C) ratio as well as uptake of NPK.

Akola safed” was conducted during rabi season of 2013-14 at main garden, Department of Horticulture, Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola to study the effect of different organic manures and bio-fertilizers for better growth, yield and quality of onion.

The field experiment was conducted to access the effect of inorganic fertilizers, organic manures and bio-fertilizers on yield and quality of rabi onion (Allium cepa L.) during rabi season. The experiment comprised of 36 treatment combinations and replicated three times, was laid out in split-plot design with three fertility levels (0, 75 and 100% of recommended dose of NPKS) and three treatments of organic manures (control, FYM @ 20 t ha-1 and poultry manure @ 5 t ha-1 ) were applied in main plots.

The present investigation was conducted during rabi 2016-17 to study the effect of sulphur and zinc containing customized fertilizers on yield, quality and nutrient uptake by onion in Inceptisols” at Dr. PDKV, Akola. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design with eleven treatments replicated thrice. The soil of experimental site was Inceptisols. The plant samples were collected, analyzed for content and uptake of major and micronutrients.
