Cloud computing is a pattern for delivering ubiquitous and on demand computing resources based on pay-as-you-use financial model. Typically, cloud providers advertise cloud service descriptions in various formats on the Internet. On the other hand, cloud consumers use available search engines (Google and Yahoo) to explore cloud service descriptions and find the adequate service. Unfortunately, general purpose search engines are not designed to provide a small and complete set of results, which makes the process a big challenge.

We demonstrate an open-source natural language generation engine that produces descriptions of entities and classes in English and Greek from OWL ontologies that have been annotated with linguistic and user modeling information expressed in RDF . We also demonstrate an accompanying plug-in for the Prot´ g´ ontology editor, e e which can be used to create the ontology’s annotations and generate previews of the resulting texts by invoking the generation engine.

GOD (General Ontology Discovery) is an unsupervised system to extract semantic relations among domain specific entities and concepts from texts. Operationally, it acts as a search engine returning a set of true predicates regarding the query instead of the usual ranked list of relevant documents. The main aim of the MIMA (Mining Information for Management and Acquisition) Search System is to achieve ‘structuring knowledge’ to accelerate knowledge exploitation in the domains of science and technology. This system integrates natural language processing including ontology development, information retrieval, visualization, and database technology. Extracting knowledge from unstructured text is a long-standing goal of NLP. Although learning approaches to many of its subtasks have been developed (e.g., parsing, taxonomy induction, information extraction), all end-to-end solutions to date require heavy supervision and/or manual engineering, limiting their scope and scalability. We present OntoUSP, a system that induces and populates a probabilistic ontology using only dependency-parsed text as input.
