The principal aim of this study was to investigate the presence of factors afecting Baker’s cyst volume in young and middle-aged populations. Open cyst excision with valve and capsule repair, as well as knee arthroscopy, were used to treat eightyfve patients. The cases were categorized in terms of age, efusion, chondral lesion degree, meniscal tear degree, and Lindgren scores. An ultrasonography (USG) device was used to calculate the cyst volume. The IBM-SPSS 22 program was used for statistical analysis and to assess the relationships between variables using Spearman’s correlation tests.

Associated joint disorders with popliteal cysts were stated approximately between the ranges of 41–83 % in all reported cases. Combined treatment strategies that eliminate intra-articular pathologies and cyst- associated valve mechanisms are thought to be a good option in treatment of the disease.

Estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PgR), HER2, and Ki67 have been increasingly evaluated by core needle biopsy (CNB) and are recommended for classifying breast cancer into molecular subtypes. However, the concordance rate between CNB and open excision biopsy (OEB) has not been well documented.

In locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC) preoperative chemoradiation (CRT) is the standard of care, but the risk of local recurrence is low with good quality total mesorectal excision (TME), although many still develop metastatic disease.

The Clerodendrum infortunatiom Linn (CI) is one of the most important medicinal plant containing different properties like anti-inflammatory activities, anti-microbial activities, wound healing, promotes neo-vascularisation, and reduces oxidative stress. The present study was undertaken to evaluate the wound healing activity of hydro-alcoholic (70% ethanol) leaves extract of C. infortunatum Linn as 4 % ointment in cutaneous wound model in diabetic rats.

At the time of Atreya and Dhanwantri (seventh century BC), surgery was considered one of the best methods of treatment for arbuda. They found that herbal medicine treatments against cancer, either in the form of granthi or arbuda, were beneficial only in the beginning stage. Nonetheless, they recorded a group of successful treat- ments for use against gulmas (cystic tumors) and neoplasms of individual organs.

The procedure described by Young involved a transverse incision between the ischial tuberosities 2 cm above the anus (Young, 1926). The ischiorectal fossa was then opened by blunt finger dissection, carrying the dissection medially and reflecting the rectum posteriorly. The central tendon of the perineum was then cut exposing the recto-urethralis muscle which was opened by sharp dissection and reflected laterally, exposing the capsule of the prostate (figure 5). The abnormal area on the prostate was grasped with Allis forceps and excised widely and deeply.
