In this paper, the performance of a multisource half-duplex relaying network utilizing the time-switching approach is investigated. Particularly, the relay simply relies on the harvested energy from the selected source to perform its operations such as amplifying and forwarding the source signals.

Dividend policy is one of controversial financial issues. There are various theories about dividend but in this study, the focus is on empirical test of signaling theory. This theory says that the payment of dividends provides information for investors and analysts. The aim of this study is preparing the evidence on dividend signaling about corporate operating characteristics (return, performance and earning). Therefore, linear regression models were fitted. Results showed that significantly positive correlation exists between dividend and return.

Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) millimeter wave (mmWave) systems are vulnerable to hardware impairments due to operating at high frequencies and employing a large number of radiofrequency (RF) hardware components. In particular, nonlinear power amplifiers (PAs) employed at the transmitter distort the signal when operated close to saturation due to energy efficiency considerations. In this paper, we study the performance of a MIMO mmWave hybrid beamforming scheme in the presence of nonlinear PAs.

Choking of seed drill during sowing of wheat generally occurs due to excessive soil moisture, weeds or agricultural residue present in the field. The developed monitoring system for detecting the choking of boot comprised three units: sensing unit, processing unit and alert unit. A direct incidence infrared (IR) emitter and IR receiver were selected for detecting choking of boots of a seed drill.

It is expected that many networks will be providing services at a time in near future and those will also produce different interfering signals for the current Slotted ALOHA based systems. A random packet destruction Denial of Service (DoS) attacking signal can shut down the Slotted ALOHA based networks easily. Therefore, to keep up the services of Slotted ALOHA based systems by enhancing the secured operating regions in the presence of the interfering signals from other wireless systems and DoS attacking signals is an important issue and is investigated in this paper.

This paper presents a new methodology for the modeling and control of power systems based on an uncertain polytopic linear parameter-varying (LPV) approach using parameter set mapping with principle component analysis (PCA). An LPV representation of the power system dynamics is generated by linearization of its differential-algebraic equations about the transient operating points for some given specific faults containing the system nonlinear properties. The time response of the output signal in the transient state plays the role of the scheduling signal that is used to construct the LPV model.

Adenosine is implicated in the modulation of cardiovascular responses either at the peripheral or at central level in experimental animals. However, there are no dedicated reviews on the involvement of adenosine in mediating the hypotensive response of centrally administered clonidine in general and specifically in aortically barodenervated rats (ABD). The conscious ABD rat model exhibits surgically induced baroreflex dysfunction and exaggerated hypotensive response, compared with conscious sham-operated (SO) rats.
