To evaluate the role of laparoscopy in diagnosis of post-operative small bowel obstruction. Subjects and methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted from June, 2012 to June, 2019 on 99 patients with post-operative small intestinal obstruction, who laparoscopically diagnosed at Trung Vuong Emergency Hospital, Hochiminh City. Results: Using laparoscopy, the successful rate of diagnosis of small bowel obstruction was 92.9%, among which 83.8% had been diagnosed with the site of obstruction, and 80.8% with the cause of obstruction.

An investigation into the treatment efficiency of real piggery wastewater of a benchscale aerobic membrane bioreactor was performed. The experiments were aimed to evaluate the effects of hydraulic retention time and activated sludge concentration. The bioflocculation efficiency was depended on the pH, carbon sources, the initial algae concentrations, bacteria strains, and the inital bioflocculant-producing bacteria concentrations.
