The paper primarily focuses on the design principles of the AWG subsystem and the Bragg scattering gratings combined with microring resonators for wavelengthselective processing with six wavelengths following the standard ITU-T G.694.1 grid. The components were designed using the optical structure design tools BPM, GratingMode and FullwaveFDTD within the commercial software Rsoft.

In this paper, we present a numerical simulation design of a 1:2 power splitter optical circuit with an evenly distributed 50:50 splitting ratio for all three modes simultaneously. The proposed design is based on the SOI material platform with wafers having a silicon layer thickness of 220nm, in accordance with VLSI chip manufacturing technology standards.

Random numbers are a crucial component of any encryption activity in modern cryptography. Quantum Random Number Generators (QRNGs) produce truly random output strings to replace pseudo-random ones. In this research, the author’s team centered on investigating and scrutinizing the design of a QRNG utilizing optical methods tailored to meet cryptographic standards.

Numerical investigation of optical properties in carbon tetrachloride-filled photonic crystal fibers
In this work, we design circular lattice photonic crystal fibers using Lumerical Mode Solution software, its hollow core filled with carbon tetrachloride. Optical properties including effective refractive index, chromatic dispersion, nonlinearity, and fiber loss were investigated numerically in detail based on solving Maxwell's wave equations.

In this paper, we present an in-house flexible and portable lidar system integrating an inexpensive, passively Q-switched laser Nd: YAG and a detection module operating in both analog and photon counting mode. This system is designed to study the atmospheric boundary layer (BL) and cirrus clouds (CC). The passively Q-switched Nd:YAG pulsed laser, operating at a second-harmonic generation (SHG) wavelength of 532 nm, features a pulse energy up to 200 mJ, a repetition rate of 1 Hz to 15 Hz, and a pulse duration of 15 ns.

This paper presents a new design of Ge20Sb5Se75 large-solid-core- square lattice photonic crystal fiber (PCF) with the first ring of air hole near the core removed. Using the full vector finite element method for anisotropic perfectly matched layers, we numerically examine the dispersion characteristics of the PCF as a function of the wavelength in the mid-infrared range.

Ebook "Noncovalent functionalization of carbon nanotubes: Fundamental aspects of dispersion and separation in water" guides the reader through her multidisciplinary research into the non-covalent functionalization of carbon nanotubes in water. Although one of the most remarkable materials of the 21st century, carbon nanotubes often have limited application because of their intrinsically low solubility and polydispersity.

Ebook "Measurement and control of charged particle beams" we have tried to coherently organize this material so as to be useful to designers and operators in the commissioning and operation of particle accelerators. A point of emphasis has been to provide, wherever possible, experimental data to illustrate the particular concept under discussion. Of the data pre sented, most are collected from presently existing or past accelerators and we regret the problem of providing original data some of which appear in less accessible publications - for possible omissions we apologize.
