The heart is one of the least regenerative organs in the human body; adult cardiac myocytes divide at extremely low frequency. Therefore, meaningful induction of cardiac regeneration requires in-depth understanding of myocyte cell-cycle control. Recent insights into how myocytes can be coaxed into duplicating in vivo might inform emerging therapeutics.

Using chemicals known as inhibitors of chromatin remodeling enzymes is a useful approach in understanding the regulation machinery that contributes to the maintenance of or conversion to a pluri- and totipotent states of the cells in multicellular organisms. They can serve as tools to reveal the molecular and cellular mechanisms required for reprogramming. A deeper understanding of reprogramming pathways that drive the cell into a dedifferentiated state might help us enhance plant micropropagation and green biotechnology applications.

One of the health risks posed to astronauts during deep space flights is exposure to high charge, high-energy (HZE) ions (Z > 13), which can lead to the induction of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, little is known on the molecular mechanisms of HZE irradiation-induced HCC.

In paddy soils, phosphate is generally very low available for plants, so to meet the availability of phosphate in the soil, it is necessary that Rhizobacteria solvent phosphate from solanaceae is able to dissolve phosphate that is bound to grains of soil organic matter, but can also stimulate the growth of Rhizobium bacteria (Rao, 1994).

FGF signaling plays numerous roles during organogenesis of the embryonic gut tube. Mouse explant studies suggest that different thresholds of FGF signaling from the cardiogenic mesoderm induce lung, liver, and pancreas lineages from the ventral foregut progenitor cells.

In multiple vertebrate organisms, including chick, Xenopus, and zebrafish, Fibroblast Growth Factor (FGF) and Wnt signaling cooperate during formation of the otic placode. However, in the mouse, although FGF signaling induces Wnt8a expression during induction of the otic placode, it is unclear whether these two signaling pathways functionally cooperate.

Left-right (LR) organ asymmetries are a common feature of metazoan animals. In many cases, laterality is established by a conserved asymmetric Nodal signaling cascade during embryogenesis.

Treatment of patients with non-metastatic, locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC) includes pre-operative chemoradiation, total mesorectal excision (TME) and post-operative adjuvant chemotherapy. This trimodality treatment provides local tumor control in most patients; but almost one-third ultimately die from distant metastasis. Most survivors experience significant impairment in quality of life (QoL), due primarily to removal of the rectum.

Mutation is the sudden heritable change that occurred in an organism. It may be caused by spontaneous or through artificial induction and the resulted mutant shows change in the gene or chromosomes. Induced mutagenesis techniques have successfully produced and commercialized quite a large number of new promising varieties in different crops worldwide, including ornamental plants. Induced mutagenesis has been most successful in c.

The present study was conducted to compare the efficacy of hormonal and nutritional approaches to induce fertile estrus in canine. Twenty female dogs of different breeds presented to university clinics, GADVASU, Ludhiana were subjected to hormonal (Group 1, n=10) and nutritional (Group 2; n=10) treatments. The breeds of these dogs were Labrador, Dalmatian and German Shephard weighing between 25-30 kg with the history of not showing estrus despite attaining age of puberty (≥ 1.5 years of age).

Compared with World Health Organization-defined acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) not otherwise specified, patients with AML with myelodysplasia-related changes (AML-MRC) are generally older and more likely to have poor-risk cytogenetics, leading to poor response and prognosis. More than one-half of all older (≥65 years) patients in the phase 3 AZA-AML-001 trial had newly diagnosed AML-MRC.
