In this study, we investigated some conditions affecting the extraction of total carotenoids from R. mucilaginosa using environmentally friendly chemicals: cell disruption conditions with organic acids combined with ultrasound-assistant method, using ethanol and petroleum ether solvents to replace acetone in the process of extracting total carotenoids to obtain a benign product, easy to apply in food.

It can be seen that the objects of wastewater that need to be treated are quite diverse in types and complex in terms of reaction mechanisms. The methods mainly focus on the treatment of toxic organic compounds, especially phenols or plant protection agents in industrial wastewater, paper industry, food production, textile industry, printing industry.

The study aims to explore the motivation of organic food consumption among consumers in Hue city. The authors applied means-end chain theory in 77 samples. The results showed health and happiness are drivers for organic food purchase. The organic product attributes as means to achieve consumption goals are “no chemicals”, “food safety”, “better sensory”, “nutritious value”, and “producers/ origin”. Basing on the results, the research figured out some implications for organic food stores to motivate organic food purchase.

Copper and zinc are also toxic to humans when high levels are ingested and an excess of copper and zinc interferes with plant growth. It is important to monitor copper and zinc content in soil to avoid marketing food products which contain dangerous amounts of these heavy metals. The soil-borne necrotrophic fungal pathogen Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. Ciceris (FOC)infects chickpeaand causes wilt in any stage of plant from seedling to podding. This research was carried out to evaluate the effect of organic loading rate to the performance of anaerobic co-digestion digester treating organic fraction of food waste (FW) and sludge waste (SW) from wastewater treatment plant. This thesis researched the influence of ETBs on exporters from developing countries and their corresponding strategies through a case study of the Chinese organic food industry. Initially, a description of international trade and world export was developed, including their roles in the process of globalization. Trade barriers generated in international trade were then explained, with the focus on NTBs, especially ETBs. Lastly, the link between ETBs and market access was described and then the purpose of this study was proposed.

An intervention using the model “Meals seen and practised” was organized regularly at San Chay households with children under 5 years old in Thai Nguyen Province. The results showed that families with children under 5 years old contributed their time and efforts actively, as well as sharing resources such as 652.9 kg of foods for preparation of complementary food for children.
