Portulaca granulatostellulata and P. edulisare two subspecies ofcommon purslane. The biomass of both plants was similar; however, with long upright stems and a long vegetative period, P. edulis production was easier. Both subspecies were rich in vitamin C and flavonoids, main organic nutrients’ contents in 25-d-old plants were higher than those in15-d-old plants, and were higher in P. granulatostellulata.

Nanocellulose prepared from cellulose oxalate has been discussed as an alternative to other methods to prepare cellulose nanofibrils or crystals. The current work describes the use of a bulk reaction between pulp and oxalic acid dihydrate to prepare cellulose oxalate followed by homogenization to produce nanocellulose.

The aim of this study was to examine qualitatively the effect of important electrochemical parameters on the faradaic impedance spectra of oxalic acid electroreduction. The impedance spectrum of a 3-step oxalic acid electroreduction mechanism was simulated by the solution of a faradaic impedance equation based on 3 state variables. Before the solution of the faradaic impedance equation, the electroreduction mechanism was analyzed and it was seen that this mechanism can be represented by an electrical circuit composed of 2 resistors and a capacitance or inductance.

The present study is aimed on isolation of OxO enzyme from Pseudomonas strain under high salt stress. The OxO enzyme was produced in bulk under selected salt stress. It was partially purified by ammonium sulphate precipitation method, dialysis and ion-exchange chromatography. The OxO enzyme on enzymatic analysis showed potent activity concerning oxalic acid substrate. The microtiter plate analysis confirmed the ability of OxO enzyme purified from Pseudomonas strain in the diagnosis of oxalate-related disorders and in the future could be used to prepare the diagnostic biosensors

In this work, we proposed to combine oxalic acid and ferric ions in very low concentrations to create new, economic, and effective homogeneous photo-Fenton catalytic systems for the degradation of methylene blue. The effects of ferric concentration, H2 C2 O4 concentration, pH, and tert-butanol on the catalytic activity were also investigated.

Sclerotinia sclerotiorum is a broad-host range necrotrophic pathogen which is the causative agent of Sclerotinia stem rot (SSR), and a major disease of soybean (Glycine max). A time course transcriptomic analysis was performed in both compatible and incompatible soybean lines to identify pathogenicity and developmental factors utilized by S. sclerotiorum to achieve pathogenic success.

This paper investigated the effect of important factors on SLMSD performance to recover indium from etching solution such as: pH of feed solution, extractant (Di-(2-ethylhexyl) phosphoric acid (D2EHPA)) concentration, oxalic acid concentration. It was found that 99.5 % In3+ was removed from feed solution in about 20 minutes with high concentration factor (4.5) under suitable conditions (pH 1; 0.6M Di-(2- ethylhexyl) phosphoric acid (D2EHPA), 2 wt% oxalic acid).

In the present study endophytic bacteria were isolated from Aegle marmelos and were screened for phosphate solubilizing activity. It is well established that glauconite has potassium (K) content but issue of discussion is that whether it has ability to release its content or not when it comes under the action of plant’s exudates or secretions. Plant’s exudates generally contain mild organic acids. So in this experiment, organic acids with same concentration as in maize root exudates were taken as solubilising medium to solubilise glauconite nano-particle.

The present investigation highlights the feasibility of a polymer grafting process to enhance the durability and flame retardancy of rice straw towards application as a low cost roofing material. The success of this grafting methodology was perceived to depend upon a bi-step pre-treatment process encompassing delignification and inorganic salts dispersion. Subsequently free radical polymer grafting of acrylonitrile onto rice straw was implemented by immersion mechanism initiated by oxalic acid-potassium permanganate initiator.
