A molecular dynamics (MD) simulation has been carried out to explore the microstructure and diffusion pathway in amorphous vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) materials at room temperature and ambient pressure. We showed that the simulated model is a mix of basic units VO5 and VO6 connected to each other via 2 or 3 bridging oxygens.

YNU-5 zeolite has the YFI-type framework with a 12-12-8-ring system (2-dimensional 12-oxygen membered ring pores 3-dimensionally connected by twin 8-ring channels), and isolated 8-ring channels separated from the system by a thin (mono-atomic silicate) wall. In this study, the acidic property of YNU-5 zeolite was analyzed mainly by means of the ammonia IRMS-TPD (infrared/mass spectroscopy temperature-programmed desorption) method.

Autophagy and DNA repair are two essential biological mechanisms that maintain cellular homeostasis. Impairment of these mechanisms was associated with several pathologies such as premature aging, neurodegenerative diseases, and cancer. This study aimed to determine the effect of different ozone concentrations applied with different exposure times on the chemical composition and the surface morphology of enamel. Twenty human mandibular molars were divided into four groups according to ozone concentration and exposure times. Group A received 90 lg of ozone/ml oxygen for 1 min, group B received 90 lg of ozone/ml oxygen for 2 min, group C received 120 lg of ozone/ml oxygen for 1 min and group D received 120 lg of ozone/ml oxygen for 2 min.

Controlled oxidation is increasingly being practiced using solid peroxides, pH modifiers, and catalysts that promote the generation of free radicals. This new approach moderates the rate of dissolution and peroxide generation, which in turn controls that rate of reaction between peroxide and the petroleum contaminants. The use of slurried peroxides creates the opportunity to release oxidants and oxygen over a longer period, which can promote subsequent aerobic remediation.
