The present study was undertaken to find out the problem of rural women of Udaipur district about accessing rural credit. The study was conducted in four villages of randomly selected Mavli Panchayat Samiti of Udaipur district of Rajasthan. A sample of 100 rural women was selected randomly for the present study. Personal interview method was used for data collection.

In order to ascertain the impact of soybean front line demonstrations in terms of change in knowledge and adoption of soybean production technology on demonstrator and non demonstrator farmers, the present study was carried out by selecting 73 demonstrator and 70 non-demonstrator farmers from 14 villages in the jurisdiction of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Karda of Risod Panchayat Samiti of Washim district in Maharashtra state.

The objective of the present study was to identify the technological gap in knowledge perceived by rural women in processing and preservation of fruits of Udaipur District. The study was conducted in Badgaon and Girwa panchayat samities of Udaipur district of Rajasthan state. From each panchayat samiti, two villages were included in the study. The sample consisted of randomly selected 100 rural women, 25 from each village. Interview method was used for data collection.

The objective of the present study was to identify the problems faced by NGOs trainees in adoption of entrepreneurial activities. The study was conducted in Gogunda and Kherwara panchayat samities of Udaipur district of Rajasthan state. The study was conducted in Ratnagiri district. In all, 112 PRI woman members were selected from four Panchayat Samities, five Grampanchayats from each selected Panchayat Samiti and Ratnagiri Zilha Parishad on the basis of maximum number of woman members. The personal and socio-economic characteristics namely age, education, land holding, annual income, major occupation, official position, tenure of work, cosmopoliteness, extension contact, organizational participation, interest in public work and political awareness of the respondents were considered as the independent variables.

The study was conducted in Ratnagiri district. In all, 112 PRI woman members were selected from four Panchayat Samities, five Grampanchayats from each selected Panchayat Samiti and Ratnagiri Zilha Parishad on the basis of maximum number of woman members. They were interviewed with the help of a specially designed interview schedule. An interview schedule was prepared in Marathi to collect the information in line with the objective of the study.

The present study was conducted in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra. All nine tahsils of Ratnagiri district were selected for the study. Ten Grampanchayat were selected by random sampling method from each of tahsils of Ratnagiri district. Considering the objectives and other aspects of the study, it was decided to study the heads of Panchayat Raj Institutions currently working in the office. Thus, one President of Zilla Parishad, Nine Panchayat Samiti Sabhapati and Ninety Gram Panchayat Sarpanch were the respondents for the study.

Bajju, Chandasar, Diyatra and Khari villages were selected. The present investigation entitled “Fertility status of irrigated soils of Jhotwara panchayat samiti of Jaipur district “was carried out during 2010-11. The soils were pH neutral to alkaline (pH 7.2–8.5) in reaction having electrical conductivity (EC) value in surface soil (0.53–2.51 dSm-1 ). The data on nutrient showed that the soils are low in organic carbon and available nitrogen and low to medium in available phosphorus and available sulphur whereas, medium to high in available potassium.

The present study was conducted in Chittorgarh region of Rajasthan. Out of five districts in Chittorgarh region, two districts Chittorgarh and Pratapgarh were selected randomly by using simple random sampling. The study is an in depth analysis of participation of women in various agricultural activities. Therefore, the rural women play a significant role in agricultural activities such as seeding, transplanting, weeding, fertilizer application, plant protection, harvesting, processing, storage etc. Several of these operations are carried out by women only. The present study was conducted in six panchayat samitis out of which Bikaner panchayat samiti was selected. Out of thirty one Gram panchayat in Bikaner panchayat samiti four Gram panchayat were selected one village was selected on the basis of random sampling technique. Water is a well known basic and the most important input for agricultural production. A major quantity of water is utilized for irrigation in agriculture. In traditional surface irrigation method the losses in water conveyance and application are large. These losses can be considerably reduced by farmers by adopting drip irrigation technology. Proper economization of water would be advantageous to the farmers as well as it would be helpful in bringing more land under cultivation.
