In this paper, we investigate the existence, uniqueness, and continuity of weak solutions with respect to initial values for a nonlinear parabolic equation of reactiondiffusion nonlocal type by an application of the Faedo-Galerkin approximation and AubinLions- Simon compactness results.

In this paper, we study the first initial boundary value problem for a class of quasilinear degenerate parabolic equations involving weighted p-Laplacian operators. The existence and uniqueness of a weak solution with respect to initial values is ensured by an application of the Faedo - Galerkin approximation and compact method. Moreover, the longtime behavior of solutions to that problem is considered via the concept of global attractors in various bi-spaces.

We propose a new monotone finite-difference scheme for the second-order local approximation on a nonuniform grid that approximates the Dirichlet initial boundary value problem (IBVP) for the quasi-linear convection-diffusion equation with unbounded nonlinearity, namely, for the Gamma equation obtained by transformation of the nonlinear Black-Scholes equation into a quasilinear parabolic equation. Using the difference maximum principle, a two-sided estimate and an a priori estimate in the c-norm are obtained for the solution of the difference schemes that approximate this equation.

The electron (hole) energy and uncorrelated 1Se − 1Sh electron-hole transition in Core(GaN)| well(InxGa1−xN)| shell(GaN) spherical QDQW nanoparticles are investigated as a function of the inner and the outer radii. The calculations are performed within the framework of the effective-mass approximation and the finite parabolic potential confinement barrier in which two confined parameters are taking account. The Indium composition effect is also investigated. A critical value of the outer and the inner ratio is obtained which constitutes the turning point of two indium composition behaviors.

In this paper, we have investigated the magnetic field effect on the lowest excitedstate binding energy of hydrogenic shallow-donor impurity in wurtzite (In,Ga)N/GaN parabolic transversal-section quantum-well wire (PQWW) using the finite-difference method within the quasione-dimensional effective potential model. The calculations are performed within the framework of the effective mass approximation.

We propose the moving parabolic approximation (MPA) model to reconstruct an improved point-based surface implied by an unorganized point cloud, while also estimating the differential properties of the underlying surface. We present examples which show that our reconstructions of the surface, and estimates of normal and curvature information, are accurate for precise point clouds and robust in the presence of noise.

A MODIFIED QUASI-BOUNDARY VALUE METHOD FOR A CLASS OF ABSTRACT PARABOLIC ILL-POSED PROBLEMS M. DENCHE AND S. DJEZZAR Received 14 October 2004; Accepted 9 August 2005 We study a final value problem for first-order abstract differential equation with positive self-adjoint unbounded operator coefficient. This problem is ill-posed. Perturbing the final condition, we obtain an approximate nonlocal problem depending on a small parameter. We show that the approximate problems are well posed and that their solutions converge if and only if the original problem has a classical solution.
