The mechanisms of parallel structure are the subject of many publications due to specific functional properties of these objects, such as load capacity and accuracy This paper offers a solution for the determination of the position and planar parallel two degrees mechanism control.

This paper deals with teamwork scheduling problem in available time windows. This problem has been posed by combining the three constraints are the jobs can split into some sub-jobs which should not be less than a threshold called splitmin, the jobs are only assigned into available time windows and the jobs can be assigned into many people in the organization.

This paper presents a mathematical model to consider both scheduling and layout planning for parallel machines in discrete and continuous spaces, concurrently. The preliminary results have indicated that the integrated model is capable of handling problems more efficiently.

The master will monitor the progress and be able to compute and report the time taken to solve the problem, taking into account the time spent in assigning the problem into slave and sending the results along with the communication delays.

We investigate the problem of domain adaptation for parallel data in Statistical Machine Translation (SMT). While techniques for domain adaptation of monolingual data can be borrowed for parallel data, we explore conceptual differences between translation model and language model domain adaptation and their effect on performance, such as the fact that translation models typically consist of several features that have different characteristics and can be optimized separately.

Meta-theoretical results on the decidability, generatire capacity, and recognition complexity o~ several syntactic theories are surveyed These include context-free , lexical func-computer o r a parallel array of neurons. These results over whole classes of machines are very difficult to obtain, and none el any significance exist for parsiD.g problems. Restricting ourselves to a specific machine model and an algorithm M for j', we can ask about the cost. (e.g time or space) e(z) of executing M on a specific input z. ...

EBMT has the following features: (1) It is easily upgraded simply by inputting appropriate examples to the database; (2) It assigns a reliability factcr to the translation result; (3) It is acoelerated effectively by both indexing and parallel computing; (4) It is robust because of best-match reasoning; ~ d (5) It well utilizes translator expertise. A prototype system has been implemented to deal with a difficult translation problem for conventional Rule-Based Machine Translation (RBMT), i.e., translating Japanese noun phrases of the form "N~ no N2" into English.

Current phrase-based SMT systems perform poorly when using small training sets. This is a consequence of unreliable translation estimates and low coverage over source and target phrases. This paper presents a method which alleviates this problem by exploiting multiple translations of the same source phrase. Central to our approach is triangulation, the process of translating from a source to a target language via an intermediate third language.

This paper studies the problem of identifying erroneous/correct sentences. The problem has important applications, e.g., providing feedback for writers of English as a Second Language, controlling the quality of parallel bilingual sentences mined from the Web, and evaluating machine translation results. In this paper, we propose a new approach to detecting erroneous sentences by integrating pattern discovery with supervised learning models. Experimental results show that our techniques are promising. ...

As a solution to the problems encountered with DIRECT, Gamma employs what appear today to be relatively straightforward solutions. Architecturally, Gamma is based on a shared-nothing [STON86] architecture consisting of a number of processors interconnected by a communications network such as a hypercube or a ring, with disks directly connected to the individual processors. It is generally accepted that such architectures can be scaled to incorporate 1000s of processors.

Translations from a parallel corpus implicitly deals with the granularity problem as finer sense distinctions are only relevant as far as they are lexicalized in the target translations. It also facilitates the integration of WSD in multilingual applications such as multilingual Information Retrieval (IR) or Machine Translation (MT).

A lack of standard datasets and evaluation metrics has prevented the field of paraphrasing from making the kind of rapid progress enjoyed by the machine translation community over the last 15 years. We address both problems by presenting a novel data collection framework that produces highly parallel text data relatively inexpensively and on a large scale.

In this work, we tackle the task of machine translation (MT) without parallel training data. We frame the MT problem as a decipherment task, treating the foreign text as a cipher for English and present novel methods for training translation models from nonparallel text.
