Participatory observation

Community-based tourism is a form of participatory tourism management, aimed at reviewing the application of the principles of Community Based Tourism (CBT) supply chain in tourism development on Teluk Kiluan Beach and knowing its implications for the welfare of the surrounding community. This study uses a qualitative approach at Teluk Kiluan Tanggamus Beach research site in Lampung Province, and conducts primary data collection with interviews, indepth interviews, and observations from key informants and other supporting informants then as a validity test.

This paper investigates the dynamics of constructing a social network for livelihoods in a rural community in the Lower ISAN region of Thailand. The qualitative approach was adopted in the study. Group interviews were used to collect data from 15 key informants who were community leaders and community seniors, and this data was used together with non-participatory observation.

To popularize rabi castor cultivation with onion intercrop in drip fertigation in Salem and Namakkal district demonstration were conducted under farmers participatory approach. The castor with onion intercropping through drip fertigation was introduced in different blocks in Namakkal and Salem districts in an area of 18 ha with total beneficiaries of 43. On observing the yield and economics, the results revealed that the average castor yield of 4 tonnes/ha and onion intercrop yield of 5 tonnes/ha was recorded in the farmer’s field and the higher gross return of Rs.
