Nghiên cứu về ứng dụng Particle filter để ước lượng mức độ hư hỏng và dự đoán tuổi thọ thiết bị khi mà tình trạng thiết bị được giám sát bởi một cảm biến cũng bị hư hỏng theo thời gian vẫn còn hạn chế. Do đó, trong nghiên cứu này, nhóm tác giả áp dụng Particle filter để ước lượng trạng thái hư hỏng của thiết bị chính, có xét đến sự hư hỏng của cảm biến giám sát tình trạng.

In this paper, the authors present a method to solve these problems. Wherein, the motion of targets is represented in the mixed coordinate system 3D base on combining PHD (Probability Hypothesis Density) and JPDA (Joint Probability Data Association). This method can track multiple targets in the most general case, that is to change the target number, system model and measurement model which is non-linear as the noise is non-Gaussian.

We reported the fluorescence sensor of carbon dots (CDs) synthesized for the highly sensitive and selective detection of bilirubin in human urine. High-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) images showed that the CDs have a spherical shape with a mean particle size of 2.6 nm.

The paper "Image processing-based automatic gradation of stone aggregates" aims to employ image processing methods to develop a simple tool for automatic gradation of stone aggregates. The methods of image thresholding, Gaussian filtering, median filtering, morphological closing, and contour analysis are employed. The output of the newly constructed system is the plots demonstrating particle size distribution. These plots can be used for further inspection of aggregate gradation. The system has been developed in Python and with the help of the OpenCV library.

This study develops an online unmanned UAV path-planning strategy for autonomous search and localisation of RF emitter. The UAV is equipped with Receiver Signal Strength (RSS) sensors to localise stationary radio frequency (RF) emitter. A high-fidelity non-linear measurement model of RF propagation in an urban environment is adopted for this purpose. The measurement model of the likelihood function is considered a Gaussian mixture.

The use of micro-spectroscopy methods is required to study smaller inhalable particles, benefiting from the use of silver membrane filters. Although these filters perform poorly during sample preparation, they can be stained with Nile Red and be used for pre-selection of suspected particles. Future inquiries require method development to better assess smaller size fractions relevant for human exposure.

This article highlights the results of a mechanochemical modification method of epoxy composite materials and coatings on their base. It proves the mechanochemical activated components of composition to be the most acceptable for structuring when producing composite materials. It also states the increase of mechanical properties of epoxy heterocomposite coatings with mechanically activated particles by 25%–40%.

Gold nanochannels were prepared by plating electrolessly gold within the pores of polycarbonate filter membranes (PCTMs). These PCTMs with cylindrical Au nanotubules of uniform radius and high density can be used as a convenient model system to investigate the mechanism of particle transport through nanotubules. The transport properties of phenol through a modified Au nanotubule membrane were studied.

Hybrid paper sheets were prepared by applying a thin coating layer of cross-linked polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and inorganic particles onto Whatman Grade 1 filter paper substrates. Several coatings with different inorganic particle contents and types were applied onto the paper substrates to investigate the effect of the variation in the coating formulation on the (i) wetting, (ii) water barrier properties, (iii) air barrier properties, (iv) surface roughness, and (v) mechanical properties of the samples.

Slow sand filtration has been an effective means of treating water for the control of microbiological contaminants. Schmutzdecke is the layer of the microbial community that is responsible for treating the water through the sand bed. As water passes through this biological layer, foreign particles are trapped and essentially eaten by bacteria forms on this layer. Development of Schmutzdecke layer depends on available microbes in raw water, food supply, oxygen supply, residence time, and wetting of sand bed.

The aim of this study is to develop a quick ultrasonic extraction procedure for determination of 16 typical polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in air particles. The determination and quantification of PAHs in air particles samples were performed using gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC-MS) with the aid of deuterated PAH internal standards. One µg mixture of PAHs was spiked to a quarter of quartz fiber filter and extracted with four different solvents/solvent mixtures (methanol:dichloromethane, acetone:dichloromethane; acetone:hexane; dichloromethane).

An experiment was conducted at the Main Agricultural Research Station, University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, Karnataka, India during 2014 to study the effect of horizontal constructed wetland treatment of domestic sewage effluent on its quality and effect of its irrigation on soil nitrogen dynamics both temporally and spatially. The analytical results revealed that there was improvement in the quality of sewage effluent after passing through the constructed wetland treatment system which was reflected by reduction in pH, EC, BOD, COD and TSS.
