The Aldrete’s score is used to determine when a patient can safely leave the Post-Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and be transferred to the surgical ward. The Aldrete score is based on the evaluation of vital signs and consciousness. Cognitive functions according to the anaesthetic strategy at the time the patient is judged fit for discharge from the PACU (Aldrete’s score ≥ 9) have not been previously studied.

To describe the nursing care for patients after abdominal surgery at Surgical Ward in Ha Nam General Hospital in 2020. Descriptive cross - sectional study was conducted to collect data by interviewing with structured questionnaires from 123 patients at Surgical Ward in Ha Nam General Hospital.

The study included 150 patients admitted in burns unit at Osmania General Hospital, Hyderabad over a period of six months from March 2015 to August 2015. The wound swabs collected were sent to Microbiology lab for Grams stain, Culture and Antimicrobial susceptibility. Majority of the cases were in the age group 20- 30 yrs. Females outnumbered males. Burns due to flames were the most common cause of the wound. Among 150 samples, 143 were culture positive of which, Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) was the predominant isolate followed by Klebsiella.

Accurate identification, isolation and antibiotic sensitivity pattern of non-fermenting gram-negative bacilli (NFGNB) is important for proper patient management. Aim: to find out the prevalence and the antibiotic sensitivity pattern of non- fermenters (NFs). A cross-sectional study was conducted on specimen collected from patients of tertiary care centre and send to microbiology laboratory for culture and sensitivity. Out of 4819 specimens collected in a year, 3363 (69.78%) were found culture positive and among them 378 (7.84%) were positive for NFGNB.
