Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) is a simple and low cost water saving technology for helping farmers to cope up with the increasing water scarcity in irrigated environment. Irrigation is regulated by intermittent flooding in rice field with the help of Pani Pipe (perforated field tube). The study was carried out in Puri District of Odisha to ascertain the constraints perceived by the farmers that inhibit the adoption of AWD technology. All the selected farmers involved in adoption of AWD were interviewed as respondents.

The present study was conducted in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh, to study the production constraints faced by rice farmers and various suggestions given by them to overcome the constraints. The major agro ecological, technical, socio-economical and marketing constraints perceived by farmers were high temperature during crop growth, scarcity of labour during peak periods, diversion of farmers from rice cultivation to irrigated dry crops and involvement of middlemen respectively.

The research study was conducted in Bidar district of Karnataka with the objectives of finding the socio, economic and psychological profile of Redgram growers and the constraints they faced in application of recommended technologies of farm universities to increase the productivity to meet the increasing demand for pluses in India. The study found that the Redgram growers had low social, psychological and economic profile, which inhibited them to apply the recommended technologies of farm universities to the full extent. The extent of application of production technologies was 60.20 percent.

The study was conducted in Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University, Lam, Guntur. A comprehensive personal interview schedule was used for collecting information. All the teachers available at the time of study from five constituent agricultural colleges of ANGRAU were selected as sample for the study. This study was undertaken at Bishnupur, Imphal West and Thoubal districts of Manipur to identify the constraints and suggestions as perceived by the fish farmers towards the adoption of scientific fish farming of Pengba. Data were obtained through pre tested and structured interview schedule from 80 respondents. Major constraint as perceived by most of the respondents was economic constraints with mean score 1.92.
