The study investigated the Zimbabwean female adolescent students’ images of scientists and the influence of their perceived images on their participation in physics. Three high schools that were offering physics at A-level were targeted.

This thesis focuses on four constructs of perceived adverse impacts of climate change, perceived anthropogenic causes of climate change; perceived policy effectiveness, and feasibility to explain Australian public support for mitigation policies. The study was conducted in the state of Uttarakhand, with two purposively selected KVKs Dhakrani representing the plains region of Garhwal division and Bageshwarre presenting the hill region of Kumaon division. A simple random sampling technique was used to select 160 respondents from eight villages from both KVK. Finding of the study revealed that, majority of the beneficiaries had middle age group, educated up to higher secondary, medium family size, marginal land holding, medium media ownership, extension contact, information seeking behaviour and social participation.

Stem cell research has been extensively explored worldwide to enhance human health. Nevertheless, there is currently no full understanding of the perception toward stem cell research among veterinarians in India. This study aimed to assess the perception toward stem cell research, and associated factors with, among at Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Hisar students as well as scientists. Perception in this study was conceptualized as positive or negative inclination towards acceptance of stem cell research.

Climate change is predicted by scientists to have the main impact on agriculture, economy and livelihood of the populations of developing countries. Human expectations regarding weather and climate sometimes lead to perceptions of climate change which are not supported by observational evidences. A better understanding of how farmers’ perceive climate change is needed to craft policies and programmes aimed at promoting successful adaptation of the agricultural sector. Repeated exposure to agro-chemical pesticides may increases the pesticide accumulation in food chain and adversely affect on human and environment. Hence, part of farming community shifting from chemical inputs to bio-inputs. In this regard, this study was conducted to know the extent of awareness, usage pattern, product differentiation, factors affecting and purchase pattern of bio-pesticides in Chitradurga and Davanagere districts in Karnataka state. The data pertaining to this study was collected with the help of pre-tested questionnaire during the agricultural year 2018.

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the changes found to occur pre- to post intervention in students' cognitive structures continued to persist two years later. Major findings were: 1) higher-order STEM-related constructs established during the treatment year tended to persist two years later, even as component dispositions varied, and 2) gender differences in level of persistence emerged in only one of the four higher-order constructs identified.

The presence of four bronze drums and some bronze items of the Dong Son culture indicate that this area might have been part of the Tan Hung region in the period of Hung Kings - founders of the country. The authors have published the distinctive characteristics, artifacts, and dates of the Bronze Age sites in these three provinces to support research efforts by other domestic and foreign scientists.

This study combines the discussions of the main impacts on the European food sector (food crises, technology progress, globalisation) with a forward looking exercise. As a result, key categories for future research in the European food sector are outlined, and potential research priorities are defined. The distrust of consumers towards policy makers and food industry in the wake of several severe food scandals obviously had a strong influence on scientists and experts linked to the present study.
