This review presents a compilation of pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs) that have been detected in waters, sediments and biota of lakes throughout the world by various researchers, over a 26-year time period (1996–2021). Numerous studies published in the literature reported that 286 pharmaceuticals and 70 personal care products (PCPs) were present in waters, 101 pharmaceuticals and 50 PCPs were present in sediments, and 63 pharmaceuticals and 19 PCPs were present in biota of lakes throughout the world.

Dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction followed by a back-extraction step was combined with HPLC-DAD for the determination of four parabens (i.e. methyl-, ethyl-, propyl-, and butylparaben). Optimum extraction conditions were found as follows: 225 µL of chloroform, 0.75 mL of ethanol, 7.5 mL of aqueous solution and within an extraction time of 15 s. Back-extraction into 100 µL of 50 mM sodium hydroxide solution within 20 s resulted in a reversed-phase HPLC-compatible extract.

Consumers have several motives. Only a few motives prompt the consumer to buy a product or service. It is important for the marketer to understand how consumer attitude influencing their final products purchase. Using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), this study aims to explain the consumer attitude towards purchasing herbal personal care products. Partial Least Square method was used to analyze the sample respondents. From results, the additional construct, consumer knowledge is the factor which influenced the purchase of herbal personal care products.

A field survey was conducted in Aravalli district to determine the healthcare management practices followed by dairy farmers. Data were collected from randomly selected 150 dairy farmers through personal interview with the help of pretested structured schedule. It was revealed that majority of the respondents (86.66%) observed off feed as main symptom of illness followed by decrease in milk production (39.33%), uneasiness (24.00%) and dry muzzle (21.33%).

Despite the incredible investment America continues to make in health care, 16.7% of people in the U.S. (50.7 million people, up from 46.3 million the previous year) lacked health care coverage for the entire year of 2009. For some, insurance was unavailable or unaffordable. In other cases, a lack of insurance was due to a personal decision not to pay for it.

The present study was conducted to evaluate the scenario of the livestock markets in central plain zone of Punjab. There are total 5 big livestock markets in the central plain zone of Punjab. Out of these three markets namely Jagraon, Sadhugarh and Khanna deals majorly with productive animals sale purchase while rest two deals with sale-purchase of unproductive buffaloes (senile, calves etc) for meat purpose only. Present study was conducted in above mentioned three productive animal markets, two of which are modern and one is of traditional nature.
