Personality among youth

Despite the vulnerabilities associated with the youth migration process, knowledge on the drivers of risky sexual behaviour among migrant street youth is limited. This study sought to explore the pathways driving risky sexual behaviour among rural–urban migrant street youth in Kampala, Uganda.

The present study was carried out in the 4 villages of Patsoi sub division of Imphal West district of Manipur. The study was undertaken to ascertain the reasons influencing the television viewing behaviour and to determine the relationship between the personal, social and economic characteristics and television viewing behaviour of the youths. A total sample of 100 youths having attending the age of between 18 to 35 years including from schools, school dropout or both residing in the same villages was selected.

The study was conducted in rural and urban area of Hisar district. Four Government Senior Secondary Schools, two from rural area and two from Hisar city were selected at random. Total sample constituted of 240 adolescents in the age group of 16-18 years, 120 from rural area and 120 from urban area, representing both the sexes in equal number. Selfprepared interview schedule was used to collect information on personal and socioeconomic variables. Family environment was assessed by Family Environment Scale (FES) by Bhatia and Chadha (1993).

Tribal agriculture in India demands youth skilled in scientific farming. Tribal youth are active stake holders in agripreneurship design and can transform tribal communities on a sustainable basis. Lack of desired skills among tribal youth makes them vulnerable when compared to their rural and urban counterparts. Making them employable in various agricultural enterprises is a major challenge in front of the government as tribal youth face a plethora of problems which hinder their active participation.

Emotional intelligence is knowing and managing of personal emotions, sympathizing with others and manipulation of communications in order to be satisfied with them. Thus the study was conducted with an objective to assess the emotional intelligence and factors influencing emotional intelligence of hearing impaired children. Sample consisted of 84 school children selected from 8th , 9 th, and 10th standard from residential deaf and dumb schools of Dharwad, Sirsi and Belagavi district during the year 2018- 19.
