  • Air pollution is a heterogeneous, complex mixture of gases, liquids, and particulate matter. Air pollution has become increasingly visible in cities and towns across world. Many factors contribute to air pollution including industry, lack of vehicular emission controls, dirt roads, poor fuel quality, open burning agricultural dust and pesticides and an expanding maquiladora industry. Our plan will lead to reductions in air pollutant emissions that cause smog and acid rain by up to 55% as early as 2018.

  • A field experiment was conducted at Agricultural College Farm, Bapatla to test the efficacy of some recommended insecticides and fungicides as a tank mix application. Two insecticidal treatments (chlorantraniliprole @ 0.3 ml l-1 and chlorpyriphos @ 2.5 ml l-1 ) and two fungicidal treatments (tricyclazole @ 0.6 g l-1 and isoprothiolane @ 1.5 ml l-1 ) with an untreated control were replicated thrice in a simple randomized block design. The results showed that all the insecticide and fungicide treatments alone and in combination were found superior over untreated check.

  • The present study was conducted in Krishi Vigyan Kendras operational area of Amreli district. Out of 11 talukas, 5 talukas selected randomly. Out of 5 selected talukas, 2 villages will be selected from each taluka randomly 5 villages selected. Among selected villages, 10 Farmers from each village were selected for the study. Thus, total 100 respondents were selected for this study.
