Phylogenetic relationships based on nuclear

The phylogenetic relationship of 83 taxa of Santalaceae s.l. was reconstructed based on the molecular data sets including the nuclear ribosomal (small and large subunit rDNA) and the chloroplast rbcL, matK, and trnL-F regions. The Maximum likelihood (ML) and Bayesian inference (BI) methods were used to build the phylogenetic trees.

Exploring the phylogenetic relationships between taxa provides important information for science. The phylogenetic study of Macrosolen was conducted based on molecular data sets of 27 taxa with five DNA regions including chloroplast rbcL, matK, and trnL-F and nuclear ribosomal (small subunit rDNA and large subunit rDNA) regions to reconstruct the phylogenetic relationship of Macrosolen.

The common vole Microtus arvalis (Pallas, 1778) is the most widespread Microtus species. It has two forms – the European arvalis form (2n: 46, NF: 84) and the Asian obscurus form (2n: 46, NF: 72). The present study aimed to clarify the taxonomic status of M. arvalis populations distributed in Eastern Turkey, Europe and Asia by analysing two mitochondrial (CYTB and COX1) and one nuclear (IRBP) markers.

In the present study investigated the taxonomic identities and phylogenetic relationships of Ganoderma species isolated from different locations within Mizoram, India using a combination of morphological and molecular approaches. Six Ganoderma isolates were identified through morphology and further confirmed by molecular phylogenetic analysis using nuclear ribosomal DNA sequences, including both the internal transcribed spacers (ITS1 and ITS2) and the 5.8S gene region. Huyen-sam (Vietnamese name) which belongs to Scrophularia L. genus is a valuable herb. This medicinal plant is classified as Scrophularia ningpoensis Hemsl. Huyen-sam roots, which contain a large amount of bioactive compounds, have a similar morphology to its relatives. DNA barcodes promise to be a precise and reliable tool for distinguishing the processed Huyen-sam materials from their counterfeits. Alopecurus goekyigitiana, a new species from the Taurus Mountains of Turkey, is described and illustrated. Phylogenetic analyses of DNA sequence data support its relationship within Alopecurus sect. Colobachne with A. gerardi (plastid), or with the complex of A. davisii, A. lanatus, and A. vaginatus (nuclear ribosomal spacers).
