The study was carried out with twenty-four genotypes of rice during the Spring season, 2020 in Hanoi, Vietnam in order to exploit the attributes and divergence of quality properties from existing rice cultivars in North Vietnam. The selectivity of 4-(Decyloxy) benzoic acid (DBA) liquid crystal in surface adsorption region (303.2–328.2K) and thermodynamic region (423.2 – 433.2K) was investigated by inverse gas chromatography at infinite dilution (IGC-ID). The selectivity parameters of the structural isomer series named butyl acetate, butyl alcohol, and amyl alcohol series were calculated for the DBA using IGC-ID technique.

Although bitter brinjal is cultivated in all the state of North eastern region of India but there is no improved variety that can be recommended to the farmers for its commercial cultivation in the region. Therefore, studies were conducted to find out variation in physicochemical characters of 15 genotypes of wild brinjal and to achieve superior cultivar with satisfactory yield along with good fruit quality under the condition of North eastern region.

The study is also expected to explore the most intrinsic value of Pteroplinthite Mangrove Forests that can be integrated as a landscape design element. These intrinsic values of this mangrove forest are being manipulated to be integrated into the urban landscape design setting. The data collection involved the observation, site inventory, determination of physicochemical contents of seawater, and collected sample plants and soil that is conducted in two selected areas, namely Pasir Panjang, Port Dickson and Kuala Linggi, Melaka.

Crop regulation treatments in guava like No Pruning (P1- Control), Pruning (P2) and four bio regulators namely NAA 250ppm (T2), Urea 15% (T3), Ethrel 500ppm (T4) and CCC 50ppm (T5) were used to regulate rainy season crop on 10year old L-49 guava plants during the year 2014-2015 at KRC college of Horticulture, Arabhavi (Karnataka).

In vermicomposting, variation in particle size, palatability and metabolites of solid organic wastes may influence the performance of earthworm as well as quality of its final product. Therefore, the study was taken to characterize the vermicomposts prepared from two different sources i.e. water hyacinth and coconut leaf respectively. Vermicompost of water hyacinth and coconut leaf showed almost similar pH and EC values by Jackson method (1973) but these showed higher in FCO method (1985). CEC value for both vermicompost was 74.20 and 72.60 cmol (+) kg-1 .

Sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L.) is the sixth most important crop grown worldwide after wheat, rice, maize, potato and cassava and is considered as staple food in many developing countries. The largest quantity of sweet potato production is noticed in Asia and the Pacific Islands (93% of global production). However, sweet potatoes face the problem of weevils, shrinkage and loss of nutrients in storage. Therefore, present research on shelf-life and physicochemical parameters of 12 different sweet potato genotypes were studied in order to determine the varieties for better storage.

The Terminalia arjuna (Roxb.) Wight & Arn. (Combretaceae) is an important commercial crop in India. It has been utilized as a primary food for rearing of the tropical tasar silkworm, Antheraea mylitta by the rural and tribal people in India as a livelihood practice. Due to its continuous utilization for rearing of silkworm, majority of the T. arjuna block plantations have been showing sickness and susceptible for variety of pests and diseases.

Zirconium dispersed in aluminum-pillared montmorillonite was prepared as a catalyst for phenol hydroxylation. The effects of varying the Zr content on the catalyst’s physicochemical character and activity were studied with XRD, BET surface area analysis, surface acidity measurements and scanning electron microscopy before investigating the performance for phenol conversion. The zirconia dispersion significantly affects the specific surface area, the total surface acidity and surface acidity distribution related to the formation of porous zirconia particles on the surface.
