Pinching height

The present investigation entitled “Effect of pinching and growth regulators on vegetative and physiological parameters of chrysanthemum (Dendranthema morifolium) cv. Pusa Kesari” was carried out at College of Horticulture, Venkataramannagudem, Dr. Y.S.R Horticultural University, during Kharif 2017. The experiment was conducted in Randomized Block Design with Fifteen treatment combinations comprising of 3 levels of pinching i.e. No pinching, Single pinching and Double pinching and 5 levels of growth regulators i.e.

The field experiment was conducted at the Teaching and Research farm of Niger State College of Agriculture, Mokwa during 2010 and 2011 cropping seasons (9o 181N and 5o 041E) with altitude of 378.0 m above the sea level in the Southern Guinea Savanna region of Nigeria to assess the effect of pinching height on growth, fruit and seed yields of tomato (Lycopersicon lycopersicum Mill). Treatments consisted of two varieties (Ibadan Local and Ife 1) and four levels of pinching.

A field experiment was conducted to evaluate the response of pinching and paclobutrazol on growth and yield of African marigold cv. Pusa Narangi in modern floriculture centre, G. B. Pant university of agriculture and technology, pantnagar, Uttarakhand. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design (Factorial) with twelve treatment combinations consisting 3 different concentration of paclobutrazol viz. PBZ @ 30, 60, 90 ppm and each concentration tried on pinched and non pinched plants. Pinching was done at 35 and 45 days after transplanting along with control (without pinching).
