The treatments consisted of two sowing methods (broadcasting and drilling at 30 cm inter-row spacing) and three nitrogen rates (0, 30 and 60 kg N). The experiment was laid out in a randomized complete block design with three replications. The results obtained showed that plant dry matter was significantly higher in the drilling method of sowing at 6 and 12 weeks after sowing (WAS) and the lowest plant dry matter was recorded in broadcasting in both years of studies.

This study investigated the effect of foliar application of putrescine on growth, biochemical, essential oil percent and morpho-anatomical characteristics of Thymus vulgaris L. under water deficit conditions. In pot experiments, plants were grown under two different irrigation levels 70–80% and 30–40% of water holding capacity and foliar sprayed with putrescine at 0, 0.1 and 0.2 mM twice at 10 and 50 days after transplanting.

Alfalfa has been cultivated in many regions around the world as an important forage crop due to its nutritive value to livestock and ability to adapt to various environments. However, the genetic basis by which plasticity of quality-relevant traits influence alfalfa adaption to different water conditions remain largely unknown.

A field experiment was conducted during rabi season 2019-20 at Rajasthan College of Agriculture, MPUAT, Udaipur (Rajasthan), to evaluate the effect of different irrigation and silicon levels on wheat productivity. Results revealed that three irrigations given to wheat crop improved growth characters viz., plant height (45.42, 80.71 cm) at 50 and 75 DAS, dry matter accumulation (27.49 g) at 50 DAS as compare to other treatments...

The treatments consisted of soil application of three nitrogen levels (100, 120, 140 kg/ha) and three Iron levels (10, 20, 30 kg/ha). There were 10 treatments each replicated thrice. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design. Maximum result showed in growth parameters viz. plant height, Number of leaves per plant, Dry matter production, were recorded highest inT9 nitrogen 140 kg/ha + Fe 30 kg/ha and yield parameters viz. number of cobs per plant, number of grains per cob, test weight...

An experiment was conducted to reveal the effect of nutrients combinations on plant pigments and yield in Bt cotton under rainfed condition in kharif season of 2011-2012. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design with ten treatments (T1 to T10) replicated thrice. Data on total chlorophyll, anthocyanin and dry matter yield at square formation, boll development, boll bursting and harvest stage whereas the seed cotton yield at harvest stage was collected and analysed.

In recent years, the use of fermented cow dung, cow urine, cow ghee, cow curd and cow milk with the name of panchagavya is getting adaptive popularity in Indian agriculture largely through the efforts of small groups of farmers. Panchagavya has got reference in the scripts of Vedas (divine scripts of Indian wisdom) and Vrikshayurveda (Natarajan, 2002). Panchagavya, an organic product has potential to play the role in promoting growth and providing immunity in plant system. The use of panchagavya results in higher growth, yield, and quality of crops (Choudhary et al., 2014).

A field experiment was conducted during kharif season 2016-17 to study the effect of potassium levels on growth, yield and quality parameters of green gram. The growth and yield attributes like plant height, leaf area, number of nodules, fresh weight of nodules, total biomass production, number of pods, seed yield and dry matter yield were significantly improved by the application of potassium and micronutrient along with RDF.

Maximum yield is achieved at optimum plant density which depends upon environmental condition, cropping system and cultivar (Bridge et al., 1973; El-Shinnawy and Ghaly, 1985; Halemani and Hallikeri, 2002). However, farmers are adopting various plant geometries with wider row spacings as well as closer plant spacings. As Bt cotton cultivation has resulted in early setting of bolls, ultimately it requires more nutrients. The present study was carried out to know the effect of spacing and fertility levels growth and yield of Bt cotton.

The production potential of root vegetables depends on many factors, amongst them; plant growth regulators appreciably influence the growth, yield and quality of produce. They play an important role in producing high value root vegetables and increasing the yield. They promote root growth, increase the number of flowers, fruit size and induce early and uniform fruit ripening. Foliar application of plant growth regulators is reported to improve tuber yield, dry matter and quality characters like starch, total sugars and beta carotene content.
