Twelve fungicides including systemic and non-systemic, five bioagents and eight plant extracts were evaluated in vitro against Exserohilum turcicum, the causal agent of Turcicum leaf blight of maize. All the test fungicides, bioagents and plant extracts showed fungistatic action and significantly inhibited mycelial growth of the test pathogen over untreated control.

A field experiment was conducted at the research plot of the Department of Plant Pathology, SHIATS, Allahabad, U.P. during the Rabi season of 2013-14 to evaluate selected bioagents, plant extracts and fungicides for the management of Alternaria blight of Indian mustard (Brassica juncea L.) by applying foliar sprays of certain fungicides plant extract and bio-agents. Per cent disease intensity on leaves at 75 DAS, per cent Alternaria pod blight at 90 DAS, test weight (g/1000 seeds) and yield (q/ha) were recorded.

To manage the disease an investigation at the Department of Plant Pathology, SHIATS-DU, Allahabad was carried out to evaluate the effect of bio-agents viz. Trichoderma viride @ 2%, Pseudomonas fluorescens @ 2%, T. harzianum @ 2%, botanical viz. neem leaf extract @ 5%, neem oil @ 5% and fungicide viz. carbendazim @ 0.2% against R. solani under invitro condition by dual culture and poisoned food technique. All the bioagents and botanical were evaluated singly. All the treatments significantly inhibited the mycelial growth of R. solani as compared to untreated check.

Among the tested five non-systemic, three combi- products, three systemic fungicides against Peziotrichum corticolum under laboratory condition, Bordeaux mixture, Copper oxychloride, Mancozeb, Carbendazim + Mancozeb, Hexaconazole + Zineb recorded maximum (100%) mean percent inhibition of P. corticolum, followed by Cuprous hydroxide (96.39%), Propiconazole (95.56%), Captan + Hexaconazole (86.39%), Difenconazole (80.74%), Hexaconazole (74.07%), Chlorothalonil (73.92%). Among the five plant extracts (botanicals), maximum mean percent inhibition of mycelial growth (22.

Early blight is potentially destructive disease in tomato occurring on the oldest leaves as small, brownish which are due to foliar blight disease and it was caused by a foliar fungal pathogen Alternaria solani. The disease causes considerable yield as well as post-harvest losses. A. solani produced blackish, fluffy mycelium with septate, beaked conidia on PDA Eight plant extracts and four biocontrol agents were evaluated following poison food technique and dual culture.

Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Penz. and Sacc. is associated with aonla, in that fruit rot of aonla is one of the contributing factors for this low productivity. Therefore, the ecofriendly and environmentally safe management of fruit rot disease with the use of bioagents is necessary. Different bioagents and plant extracts evaluated under in vitro condition against the mycelial growth of Colletotrichum gloeosporioide revealed that fungal bio agents viz., Trichoderma viride (85.03 %) T. harzianum (82.56 %) and Trichodermah hamatum (81.08 %) mycelial growth inhibition of C.

The present study was carried out to find the integrated management of early blight of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) caused by Alternaria solani. Tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) is an important vegetable crop which is grown all over the world. Early blight of tomato, caused by Alternaria solani is one of the most important diseases in tomato. Two fungicides i.e. Mancozeb 75 WP and Hexaconazole 5 EC at different concentrations (0.1%, 0.2% and 0.3%), two bio-agents viz., Trichoderma harzianum and T. koningii and two botanicals i.e.

A field experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of bioagents and botanicals in vivo during kharif, 2017 to manage anthracnose caused by Colletotrichum capsici on chilli (Capsicum annuum L.).The anthracnose of chilli is one of the most devastating diseases. The various factors viz. nutritional, physical and toxicological factor showed wide variation on growth and sporulation of C. capsici. The effect of treatments on anthracnose disease management of chilli in field condition revealed that all the treatments showed significant reduction in the intensity and over control.
