This paper aims to reveal the application of Blue Print Model in the national cocoa movement program in Indonesia. This model compares the achievement of targets with expectations. The study was carried out by comparing targets to be achieved with targets obtained on three variables: seed rejuvenation, side-grafting activities, and intensification of cocoa plants. The results show that the target obtained is different from the expected target in the three variables.

Auxin plays an important role in regulating plant growth and development as well as in the response of plants to abiotic stresses. Auxin is transported by three kinds of major protein families, including the AUXIN RESISTANT 1/LIKE AUX1 (AUX⁄LAX) influx carriers, the PIN-FORMED (PIN) efflux carriers and the ATP binding cassette B/P-glycoprotein/Multidrug-resistance (ABCB/MDR/PGP) efflux/condition carriers.

Bitter melon (Momordica charantia L.) is a unique vegetable-fruit possessing several multifarious health benefits. In this study, the plant extraction obtained from grafted bitter gourd onto pumpkin (Cucurbita maxima) and nongrafted bitter gourd cultivated under greenhouse conditions were evaluated for their constituents of volatile compounds. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (SPMEGC-MS) techniques were employed to determine these compounds in the leaves (young, middle, and old-age) and fruits (unripe and ripe) of bitter gourd.

Citrus plants are commercially propagated by grafting, with the rootstock variety influencing a number of horticultural traits, including drought tolerance. Among the different rootstock varieties available for citrus propagation, ‘Rangpur’ lime is known to confer enhanced tolerance to drought as compared to other citrus rootstocks.

Transcriptomic analyses reveal physiological changes in sweet orange roots affected by citrus blight
Citrus blight is a very important progressive decline disease of commercial citrus. The etiology is unknown, although the disease can be transmitted by root grafts, suggesting a viral etiology. Diagnosis is made by demonstrating physical blockage of xylem cells that prevents the movement of water.

Understanding the complexity of the vine plant’s response to water deficit represents a major challenge for sustainable winegrowing. Regulation of water use requires a coordinated action between scions and rootstocks on which cultivars are generally grafted to cope with phylloxera infestations.

In the previous study, we investigated the alleviation effect of grafting on potassium uptake in roots and tobacco growth inhibition under low potassium stress. However, the effect of grafting on the low potassium stress perception and coping mechanism of tobacco at the whole plant level is not clear now.

An experiment was conducted during 2019-20 at INS farm -1, SOADU, Bhubaneswar in order to study the variation regarding morphological parameters, plant physiological condition, and survival of the grafts, when different varieties were used as scion material. The experiment consists of five different popular mango varieties namely cv. Mallika, cv. Arka Neelachal Kesari, cv. Arka Puneet, cv. Amrapalli, and cv. Dussehri as scion varieties. One local cv. “Ganga” cultivar was used as rootstock for all the scion varieties and was also used as one of the scion (control).

Citrus fruits belonging to the family Rutaceae, occupies a place of considerable importance in the fruit crop due to high economic returns. Citrus greening is one of the most severe disease of citrus. Citrus greening disease was presumed to originate in china during the 1890 (Graca 1991). It is evident that the citrus disease has emerged as a potential series threat to citrus production in all the citrus growing districts of Maharashtra. It has been proved that in Maharashtra the greening disease is the major causes a decline in citrus production.

An experiment was conducted onwedge grafting time, growing conditions on subsequent growth of grafted plants in guava (Psidium guajava L.) during 2014-2015.Wedge grafting was done during August (M1), September (M2), October (M3), November (M4), December (M5), January (M6) and February (M7)months under poly house and 50% shade net conditions. Wedge grafting in the month of August under poly house condition gave better response with respect to number of leaves per sprout, leaf area per sprout and leaf chlorophyll content.

Apple is the leading fruit in the temperate regions of the world due its major share in the production of temperate fruit crops. Heterozygocity is the major problem for the production of true-to-type plants which leads to the production of propagule through vegetative means. Grafting is the one of the major artificial vegetative means of propagation. But the graft incompatibility and many other things lead to the failure of grafted plants.

The high biological value of the walnut kernel makes it an indispensable food product and that is why the walnut is on the FAO priority plants list. Therefore, only varieties with proven high nutritive value and good agro-economical indexes have to be propagated. Walnut (Juglans regia L.) propagation is more difficult, compared to most fruit species, that is why along with the work on new methods for the production of inoculate planting material, old and reliable propagation technologies are being improved Worldwide.

Pomegranate can be propagated by seed, air layering, grafting, shoot cuttings and tissue culture. Seed propagation is used to raise the rootstocks that can be utilized for germplasm conservation and rootstocks breeding purpose. Vegetative propagation methods are used to multiply selected genotypes that bring similar character in form of clones having similar characters to mother plant. Vegetative propagation techniques (hard wood cutting, layering) are practices to raise the saplings for commercial production in pomegranate, because it perpetuates all characteristics of each cultivar.
