Aonla (Emblica officinalis Gaertn.) is an important crop indigenous to Indian subcontinent which is used in alternative medicine, health foods and herbal products. Plant growth regulators and micro nutrients play a vital role in growth, development, fruit retention and quality reported in many fruit crops. A field experiment was undertaken on Aonla (Emblica officinalis Gaertn.) at Horticultural Research cum Demonstration Farm, Department of Horticulture, B.A.

The microbially enriched vermicompost was used as potting mixture for raising seedlings of aonla and bael. Seedlings showed significant increase in shoot and root length over the seedlings grown in unamended vermicompost. Aonla and bael seedlings raised in microbial enriched vermicompost were healthier and showed significantly more plant dry weight than seedling raised in vermicompost without addition of microorganisms.

Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Penz. and Sacc. is associated with aonla, in that fruit rot of aonla is one of the contributing factors for this low productivity. Therefore, the ecofriendly and environmentally safe management of fruit rot disease with the use of plant extracts is necessary. Different plant extracts evaluated under in vitro condition against the mycelial growth of Colletotrichum gloeosporioide. Plant extracts viz., Allium sativum (82.74 %), Azadirachta indica (80.77 %), Ocimum sanctum (77.1 %) mycelial growth inhibition of fungus under laboratory dual culture technique.

Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Penz. and Sacc. is associated with aonla, in that fruit rot of aonla is one of the contributing factors for this low productivity. Therefore, the ecofriendly and environmentally safe management of fruit rot disease with the use of bioagents is necessary. Different bioagents and plant extracts evaluated under in vitro condition against the mycelial growth of Colletotrichum gloeosporioide revealed that fungal bio agents viz., Trichoderma viride (85.03 %) T. harzianum (82.56 %) and Trichodermah hamatum (81.08 %) mycelial growth inhibition of C.

An experiment was conducted to find out the effect of organic and inorganic sources of fertilizers along with bioinoculants on growth, yield and quality of aonla cv. NA-7 during 2016 and 2017. Maximum increment in vegetative parameters viz., increment in plant height (10.92%), plant spread (13.91% NS and 13.88% EW) and canopy volume (40.32%) was recorded with the application of cent per cent nitrogen through urea and Azotobacter with recommended dosage of SSP and MOP. Yield parameters viz., fruit length (4.52 cm), fruit diameter (5.24 cm), fruit weight (48.56 g), fruit volume (47.

A field experiment was conducted during the two years research study. The experiment shows the effect of different planting distance under open based and Anola shade condition revealed that maximum vegetative growth viz., plant height (104.84cm), Number of leaves per plant (215.36), Number of branches per plant (44.78), Root length (51.05 cm), Shoot length (45.82 cm), Root fresh weight (30.19 g), Root dry weight (7.59 g) and Total dry matter production (g) per plant (25.

Kachchh, the largest district of Gujarat has very fragile environment and poor natural resources. Under such conditions, the cultivation of perennial component of vegetation, particularly the fruit trees, would provide opportunity for sustainable source of livelihood to the inhabitants of the region. Kachchh has about 18 percent potential area to grow fruit trees but under the aforesaid environment and edaphic conditions, the establishment, growth and economic life remain poor.
