This study is conducted based on the hypothesis of an accident from Fengcheng NPP with an incident level of 7, equivalent to the Fukushima accident. A modeling system has been established with different failure scenarios based on the Delft3D model. The research results will provide more insights into the extent and scope of the incident and the impact of meteorological conditions and dynamics on the propagation and distribution of radiation when an incident occurs.

Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have crucial roles in various biological regulatory processes. However, the study of lncRNAs is limited in woody plants. Catalpa bungei is a valuable ornamental tree with a long cultivation history in China, and a deeper understanding of the floral transition mechanism in C. bungei would be interesting from both economic and scientific perspectives.

This article contributes to an emerging body of literature about the micropolitics of the transition to renewable energy by examining how community leaders, in order to protect their territories, contest the energy transition. We present findings from two ethnographic case studies of small hydropower plants (SHPs) in indigenous Mapuche territory.

This article analyzes the extent to which the operation of on-grid solar power plants found in Burkina Faso, Madagascar, Morocco, Rwanda, Senegal, and South Africa is a vector for sustainable development. Our results give us the opportunity to identify the role of governments in enhancing solar PV sustainability for poverty alleviation

Cytosine methylation is crucial for gene regulation and silencing of transposable elements in mammals and plants. While this epigenetic mark is extensively reprogrammed in the germline and early embryos of mammals, the extent to which DNA methylation is reset between generations in plants remains largely unknown.

Plant development is predominantly postembryonic and tuned in to respond to environmental cues. All living plant cells can be triggered to de-differentiate, assume different cell identities, or form a new organism. This developmental plasticity is thought to be an adaptation to the sessile lifestyle of plants.

Plants have the remarkable ability to generate callus, a pluripotent cell mass that acquires competence for subsequent tissue regeneration. Global chromatin remodeling is required for this cell fate transition, but how the process is regulated is not fully understood.

The aim of this study is to reveal the syntaxonomical structure of Tavşan Mountain in the Euxinian transition area in northern Turkey. Eight plant associations were determined and classified using the Braun–Blanquet phytosociological approach. Detrended correspondence analysis was also used to reveal the environmental heterogeneity among the plant associations. Raunkiaer life form ratios of syntaxa were calculated. Shannon–Wiener index values also were determined for each plant association.

In the present study the nanocapsulation of Haloxyfop-R-methyl in poly(methyl methacrylate) was successfully performed. Poly(methyl methacrylate)/Haloxyfop-R-methyl nanocapsules were synthesized using a miniemulsion method and their surface morphology was studied by scanning electron microscopy and transition electron microscopy. The chemical characterization of nanocapsules was done by FT-IR spectroscopy. The herbicide loading and encapsulation efficiency were also analyzed for the herbicide-loaded nanocapsules.

SQUAMOSA promoter binding proteins (SBPs) genes encode a family of plant-specific transcription factors involved in various growth and development processes, including flower and fruit development, leaf initiation, phase transition, and embryonic development. The SBP gene family has been identified and characterized in many species, but no systematic analysis of the SBP gene family has been carried out in sugarcane.

SQUAMOSA PROMOTER BINDING PROTEIN (SBP)-box genes encode a family of plant-specific transcription factors (TFs) that play important roles in many growth and development processes including phase transition, leaf initiation, shoot and inflorescence branching, fruit development and ripening etc. The SBP-box gene family has been identified and characterized in many species, but has not been well studied in Petunia, an important ornamental genus.

Floral transition plays an important role in development, and proper time is necessary to improve the value of valuable ornamental trees. The molecular mechanisms of floral transition remain unknown in perennial woody plants. “Bairihua” is a type of C. bungei that can undergo floral transition in the first planting year.

Plant transitions to land require robust cell walls for regulatory adaptations and to resist changing environments. Cell walls provide essential plasticity for plant cell division and defense, which are often conferred by the expansin superfamily with cell wall-loosening functions.
