A field experiment was conducted during two consecutive seasons of rabi 2011-13 at Crop Research Centre of G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar to find out the effect of planting pattern and weed management practices on weed growth and yields of field pea and baby corn in field pea (Pant P-13) + baby corn(Surya) intercropping system.

A two year field experiment was conducted during the rabi season of 2010-11 and 2011- 12 at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. To study the Effect of Planting pattern and Weed management in Baby corn (Zea mays L.) intercropped with Field pea (Pisum sativum L.). Result showed that days to 50% taselling of baby corn did not vary significantly due to planting pattern. Various weed management practices were effective to record significant variation in days to 50% taselling during the course of investigation. The various planting pattern did not exhibit any significant differences in days to 50% silking.
