Ebook "Vegetation-Climate interaction: How plants make the global environment (Second edition)" offers a readable and accessible account of the way in which the world's plant life partly controls its own environment. Starting from the broad patterns in vegetation which have classically been seen as a passive response to climate, the authors build up from the local scale - with microclimates produced by plants - to the regional and global scale.

This study aimed to quantify the phenolic contents and the antioxidant capacities of leaf extract powders from three Myrtaceae plants, namely Cleistocalyx operculatus (Vietnamese name: Vối), Psidium guajava (Ổi), and Rhodomyrtus tomentosa (Sim), investigate their inhibitive activities on the growth of bacteria isolated from spoiled shrimps, and evaluate their values as preservative agents in the cold storage of Pacific whiteleg shrimps (Penaeus vannamei).

In parallel with these results, the diagrams of Gibbs et al. supported the same seawater intrusion phenomena. Brackish karst springs first roseand then fell below sea level with epirogenic movements during the geological period, and therefore, karstification progressed. The samples were oversaturated with calcite, dolomite, and quartz, whereas they were undersaturated with gypsum and halite. The Al, Cu, and Zn values of some of the water samples exceeded the tolerance limit of aquatic life standards.

The nutrient solution is an important factor which directly effects on growth and development of hydroponic crops. Therefore, finding appropriate nutrient solution for each plant is necessary to ensure hydroponic crop yields. In this study, the effects of three common nutrient solution including Hydro Greens, Knop and Bio-life on vegetable mustard (Brasscia integrifolia) growth were evaluated.

Lecture 7 - Teaching of science at elementary level. This lecture students builds an awareness of the basic needs of living things. Investigates and identifies resources (light, water, nutrients, and air) that plants need to survive. Investigates and identifies resources (food, water, and air) that animals need to survive. Determines how an organism’s habitat provides for its basic needs. Observes and explains that there are a variety of local environments (e.g. field, forest, dessert, marsh, river).

Feeding efficiency of the six species of beetle reared on mustard aphids, Lipaphis erysimi investigated under Departmental Laboratory of Plant Protection, DBS College of Agriculture and Allied Science, Selaqui, Deharadun, Uttrakhand. Coccinella septempuctata was most predominant predatory species on mustard aphid and consumed maximum numbers of aphids throughout the life with different larval stages as well as adult stage where as Illeis cincta consumed minimum aphids throughout the life and was correlated with the life span of the larval stadium.

After a marine life disaster in central Viet Nam in 2016 due to poorly treated steel industry wastewater and pipe cleaning solutions, the Formosa Steel Corporation has been improved their wastewater treatment systems. Besides, an effluent polishing and buffer pond – wetland system has to be built. The study team has run the 500 m2 pilot wetland aiming to figure out optimum design parameters such as: balancing requirements of hydraulic conductivity, hydraulic headloss, filtration efficiency and plant growth.

Fruit Crops yield and quality significantly increase with the use of micronutrients such as zinc (Zn), iron (Fe), Calcium (Ca) Magnesium (Mg) Boron (B), Copper (Cu), Manganese (Mn), etc. Zinc (Zn) has an important metabolically role in plants vegetative and reproductive phases; growth and development; is therefore called an essential trace element or a micronutrient.
