This work aimed to study the effect of three green-house covers (polyethylene sheet, white and black net) and three irrigation levels [80%, 100% and 120% of the potential evapotranspiration estimated according to class A pan equation (ETo)], applied by drip irrigation system, on plant growth and crop yield of Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L. cv. Reda F1).

High density polyethylene (HDPE) was compounded with thermally exfoliated graphene oxide (TEGO) by thermokinetic mixing in a short time. High shear rates during the compounding process provided high exfoliation and proper dispersion of graphene layers in the polymer matrix. Different TEGO/polymer ratios were used to get efficient melt mixing. Structural analysis by spectroscopic techniques confirmed the exfoliation of TEGO sheets and the coverage of their surfaces by HDPE chains.

The aim of this research was to design an electrochemical immunosensor for determination of tumour necrosis factor receptor-associated protein-1(TRAP1) antigen, a heat shock protein linked to tumour necrosis factor. The indium-tin oxide covered polyethylene terephthalate (ITO-PET) electrode surface was cleaned and was prepared for the introduction of hydroxyl groups on its surface by using NH4 OH/H2 O2 /H2 O. As a silanization agent for covalent attachment of anti-TRAP1 on the surface of the ITO working electrode, 3-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (3-GOPS) was used.

The aim of this study was to isolate fungi from plastic polluted sites of Patna and to study their ability to degrade LDPE with reference to SEM analysis. The fungi were identified by studying their macroscopic and microscopic characteristics. Penicillium sp. was selected on the basis of the positive screening and was further used to study the degradation of LDPE sheets during a course of 15 and 30 days separately.

The experiment was conducted to evaluate the nutritional composition of Azolla pinnata and its growth during winter stress as a livestock feed along with its propagation. The study was conducted at National dairy research institute Karnal on Azolla cultivation pits covered with high-density polyethylene (HDPE) sheets during winter season and the mean level of Temperature humidity index was below 72 in the range of (68-70). After its full growth, Azolla pinnata was harvested, washed properly to remove smell and dried in sun.

Integrating soil solarization and seed biopriming to manage seedling damping-off in flower nurseries
The effect of soil solarization for a month in integration with seed biopriming with Trichoderma harzianum and Pseudomonas fluorescens and seed treatment with fungicides was studied in two flower crop nurseries of calendula and aster, raised in succession.
