Polymer lining

In this study, the ITFT was used to investigate the fatigue behaviour of selected different types of flexible pavement including one unmodified and two polymer-modified asphalt mixtures. The main aim of this paper is to characterise fatigue behaviour of the selected various asphalt mixtures based on the ITFT test, after which analysis, discussion and conclusion will be included.

Corrosion can be controlled by isolation of the metal from the corrosive environment. Isolation of corrodible metals from corrosive environments is probably the most general method of the corrosion protection afforded by paint films, sealers and lining on base materials. Fluoropolymers provide superior chemical resistance and are used in a variety of markets.

The objectives of the thesis: Manufacturing multifunctional nanoparticles including: Fe3O4 nanoparticles (magnetical properties) coated with biocompatible polymers, attaching drugs (Cur, Dox) and targeted folate factor (optical properties)) that are well dispersed in water, able to target the cancer.Experiment and evaluate the effect of the nanoparticles on cancer cell lines such as HT29; HeLa; HepG2 ... and on experimental animals.

The cell line, RCS-LTC (derived from the Swarm rat chondrosarcoma), deposits a copious extracellular matrix in which the collagen component is primarily a polymer of partially processed type II N-procollagen molecules. Transmission electron microscopy of the matrix shows no obvious fibrils, only a mass of thin unbanded filaments. We have used this cell system to show that the type II N-pro-collagen polymer nevertheless is stabilized by pyridinoline cross-links at molecular sites (mediated by N- and C-telo-peptide domains) found in collagen II fibrils processed nor-mally....
