Currently, to monitor water quality, farmers in Vietnam need to analyze various indicators which increase production costs. In addition, the limitation of analytical facilities and techniques is a challenge. The objective of this experiment was to evaluate the influence of water quality parameters on shrimp growth rates and the seasonal fluctuation in water quality.

Lentic systems are a diverse set of inland freshwater habitats (Lakes and ponds) exist across the globe and provide essential resources and habitats for both terrestrial and aquatic organisms. The current work was intended to evaluate the quality of the selected ponds (Pond 1, 2 and 3) in and around Vellore district, TamilNadu. The water samples were collected to determine the physical and chemical parameters during every month in the year 2019. Water parameters such as temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, Alkalinity, electrical conductivity, Chloride, Sulphate, Nitrate, Ca, Cl was studied.
