We employed a system dynamics approach to assess and predict the effect of the general practitioner service package (GPSP) and complementary incentive policies on the contract rate for 2015–2030. First, the GPSP is designed to address the unique needs of occupational populations, enhancing the attractiveness of GP contracting services, including three personalized service contents tailored to demand-side considerations.

Sinoatrial Node (SAN) is part of the cardiac conduction system, which controls the rhythmic contraction of the vertebrate heart. The SAN consists of a specialized pacemaker cell population that has the potential to generate electrical impulses. Although the SAN pacemaker has been extensively studied in mammalian and teleost models, including the zebrafish, their molecular nature remains inadequately comprehended.

AIDS is still an incurable disease and is very costly to control. Since the first case of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) in Nigeria was reported in 1986, the human immune deficiency virus (HIV) infection has attained epidemic proportion. In an attempt to control this rapid spread, certain preventive measures have been developed. In spite of these and the campaigns to control it, the gap between the knowledge and attitudes of youths towards HIV/AIDS needs to be bridged.

The European Championship stadium helps the Weidmoos An important step came in 2000, when nature protection compensation measures were undertaken as a result of the construction of a new stadium in Salzburg/ Klessheim. This involved the purchase of about 80 of the 136 hectare bird reserve for nature protection purposes. In this way, the future use of the site was bound by property law. In 2002, Salzburg’s Nature Protection Department contracted REVITAL, a civil engineering consultancy firm, to develop a Natura 2000 management plan.

Given the slow development of markets, mergers to integrate vertically to help acquire inputs and market outputs led to the emergence of some very large companies and high levels of concentration, especially in Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan, the region’s three most land abundant countries. For example, in Russia, the 30 largest holdings farm 6.7 million ha or 5.5% of cultivated area and in Ukraine, the largest 40 control 4.5 million ha or 13.6% of cultivated area (Lissitsa 2010).

English noun/verb (N/V) pairs (contract, cement) have undergone complex patterns of change between 3 stress patterns for several centuries. We describe a longitudinal dataset of N/V pair pronunciations, leading to a set of properties to be accounted for by any computational model. We analyze the dynamics of 5 dynamical systems models of linguistic populations, each derived from a model of learning by individuals.

India has more consumers for luxury goods than the adult population of several countries. A recent study 2 , on the luxury goods sector shows that, there could well be more than 1 million consumers. The projections are that it will treble by 2010. India is leading the demographics in terms of the growth of HNWIs, as shown in Table 3 below. With an impressive 22.7% growth on a base figure of 123 million (in 2007), as shown in Table 4 below, it is clear that India will continue to remain a destination of choice for sale of luxury goods. ...

6% (compared to national average around 2%). A major consequence of the surge in urban population is the rapid growth of slums and squatter settlements. While the urban poor population is not confined to slums, these do present an aggregation of the poorest section of the urban population. Due to overcrowded, unsanitary and sub-standard dwellings, then are thus at high risk of contracting communicable diseases.

The Public Health Agency of Canada estimates that during the pandemic 15 to 35 percent of the population will become sick and be unable to go to school or work. This does not include those that may contract the virus and feel ill, but continue their usual activities. The most significant impact on the private sector is likely to be disruption due to employee absenteeism. Employees will be off work due to sickness or having to stay home and care for sick family members. Schools may also be closed forcing parents to stay home and care for children. Personal...

National financial literacy surveys are clearly important tools, but the potential gain from a survey undertaken across a number of countries is much greater. Such an international study provides the opportunity to compare levels of financial literacy and progress across populations and financial markets, and is of huge interest to policy makers and other stakeholders seeking to understand why one country appears to be achieving more than another and which interventions are most effective.

Most tribal societies, and the United States,[6][7] provide no guarantee of healthcare for the population as a whole. In such societies, healthcare is available to those that can afford to pay for it or have self-insured it (either directly or as part of an employment contract) or who may be covered by care financed by the government or tribe directly.

The statistics are well known and staggering. And yet, in many countries the figures continue to worsen. Each year 500,000–600,000 women die in pregnancy and childbirth. In some parts of Sub–Saharan Africa, 1 in 6 women die in child birth, while in United States the lifetime risk is as low as 1 in 84001. HIV/AIDS statistics tell an equally disturbing story of dis- parity. In parts of Africa, over 35% of the adult population — 1 in 3 adults — is infected with HIV 2. The number of women contracting the disease is also on the rise.

Wood is one of the most popular materials used to make chairs and benches because of its rich appearance, durability, and ease of construction. Wood furniture can be divided into solid and veneer (see Figure 12.1, Wood Construction). Most chairs are made of solid wood. You may, however, find chair backs and aprons made out of veneer plywood. Plywood is used for strength and to eliminate warpage, splitting, expansion, and contraction. All woods can be divided into deciduous and coniferous.

In every period, each population of investors receives its speci c endowment and risk sharing is implemented through trade of contracts which specify future transfers of endowments between the two populations of investors.2 These contracts represent nancial securities which pay the speci c endowments as dividends. In the standard case where all investors can commit not to default on any prescribed endowment transfer, the optimal contracts achieve an e¢ cient risk-sharing allocation.

All members of the social health insurance scheme are automatically covered by social long- term care insurance. The responsible long-term care insurance funds (Pflegekassen) are affiliated to the corresponding health insurance funds (Krankenkassen). Employees who are not covered by social LTC insurance are permitted to contract with a private long-term care insurance institution as long as they are members of a private health insurance scheme.

Degenerative mitral valve (МV) disease is a common disorder affecting around 2% of the population (Enriquez-Sarano M et al., 2009). The most common ending in patients with degenerative valve disease is leaflet rolapsed due to elongation or rupture of the chordal apparatus, resulting in varying degrees of МV regurgitation due to leaflet malcoaptation during ventricular contraction.
