  • Density functional theory was employed to investigate a series of phthalocyanine derivatives, discovering the limitation when the expansion of the conjugated system was employed to improve the hyper-Rayleigh scattering response coefficient. Furthermore, an unusually C∞v -type octupolar population was found by electrostatic potential analysis. In addition, the dynamic and static hyper-Rayleigh scattering responses (βHRS) were simulated using the coupled perturbed density functional theory, showing an increasing dynamic βHRS value along with an increase in incident light energy.

  • Vector borne diseases have gained importance in recent decade due to the increasing frequency of sporadic episodes occurring in both endemic and non-endemic areas. The similar clinical presentation and the acute febrile nature results in misdiagnosis often and increases the risk of transmission and morbidity in the vulnerable populations. A study was undertaken to check the prevalence of Chikungunya virus among the febrile patients presenting with body ache or mayalgia between June 2014 and July 2015.

  • This paper has focused into the structural changes of milk production in Uttar Pradesh. The state is highest milk producer of India with the change in production from 14.648 million tonnes in 2001-02 to 25.198 million tonnes in 2014-15. Growth rate of milk production in the state was found 4.27 per cent per annum and the per capita availability of milk grew at the rate of 2.39 per cent per year. Population of different milch animals has increased from the year 2003-07 to 2007-12. There is large percentage increase in cross-bred population of cattle i.e. 109.

  • The present experiment was conducted under shade net house for the management of root-knot nematode infesting tomato with nine treatments including untreated control. Results revealed that all the treatments were found significantly superior over an untreated control in reducing the root-knot nematode population, number of root galls and gall index and increasing the yield of tomato at termination. However, soil application of neem cake at 200 g/m2 + Purpureocillium lilacinus at 50 g/m2 was found to be more effective in reducing root-knot nematode (RkN) population (59.
