Gastric cancer (GC) is one of the most prevalent malignant tumors worldwide and is associated with high morbidity and mortality rates. However, the specific biomarkers used to predict the postoperative prognosis of patients with gastric cancer remain unknown. Recent research has shown that the tumor microenvironment (TME) has an increasingly positive effect on anti-tumor activity. This study aims to build signatures to study the effect of certain genes on gastric cancer.

Phyllodes tumor (PT) is an fibroepithelial tumor with potential for local recurrence. The optimal margin for surgical resection of PT is still debated, particularly in cases of positive margins. This study aimed to identify the risk factors for phyllodes tumor recurrence and the effect of a free margin on tumor recurrence by considering these risk factors.

Ebook "Rb and tumorigenesis" examines how recent advances have demonstrated the interaction of Rb with chromatin remodeling enzymes. This new title explores the potential roles of these interactions in Rb functions and provides some evidence that distinct Rb co-repressor may target different genes in different phases of the cell cycle.

Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) is a highly aggressive neuroendocrine carcinoma of the skin caused by either the integration of Merkel cell polyomavirus (MCPyV) and expression of viral T antigens or by ultravioletinduced damage to the tumor genome from excessive sunlight exposure.

The diversity of clinical tumor profiling approaches (small panels to whole exomes with matched or unmatched germline analysis) may engender uncertainty about their benefits and liabilities, particularly in light of reported germline false positives in tumor-only profiling and use of global mutational and/or neoantigen data.

Drug resistance continues to be a major limiting factor across diverse anti-cancer therapies. Contributing to the complexity of this challenge is cancer plasticity, in which one cancer subtype switches to another in response to treatment, for example, triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) to Her2-positive breast cancer

Glioblastoma belongs to the most common and most aggressive tumor entity of the central nervous system with a poor prognosis of only few months. Once manifested, it grows fast and diffusely by infiltrating the surrounding brain parenchyma. Despite its aggressive behavior, glioblastoma rarely presents with multiple lesions and metastasis to intra- and extracranial tissues.

This study was designed to test the antiangiogenesis effect of Lyc and to explore the possible mechanisms. We performed cell experiments to confrm Lyc’s inhibitory effect on angiogenesis and employed sunitinib as a positive control. Moreover, the synergistic effect of Lyc and sunitinib was also explored.

HPV-positive oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinomas (OPSCCs) are sensitive to chemo-radiation therapy and have favorable survival outcomes compared with HPV-negative cancers. These tumors are usually not related to tobacco and alcohol exposure.

Tregs are able of suppressing tumor-specific efector cells, such as lymphocytes CD8+, CD4+ and Natural Killer cells. Different drugs, especially different schedules of administration, like metronomic chemotherapy (mCHT), seem to be able to increase anticancer immunity, by acting on downregulation of Tregs.

The present study was to investigate the differential effects of either miR-200a-3p or YAP on tumorous cells’ fate in vitro in HPV-negative and HPV-positive cervical cancer cell models, and to explore if the changes in proliferation, migration, and invasion of the CC cells with different HPV statuses could be attributed to the differential interactions between miR-200a-3p and YAP.

Tamoxifen is one of the fundamental pillars of adjuvant endocrine therapy for hormone receptor-positive breast cancer; however, 30–50% of patients receiving tamoxifen experience tumor relapse. This study aimed at determining the frequencies of the most clinically relevant CYP2D6 alleles and evaluating their impact on the respon‑siveness to tamoxifen in a cohort of Syrian breast cancer patients.

The CyberKnife system features a robotically-positioned linear accelerator to deliver real-time imageguided stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy (SABR). It achieves steep dose gradients using irradiation from hundreds of different directions and increases the central dose of the gross tumor volume (GTV) without increasing the marginal dose to the planning target volume.

Dishevelled paralogs (DVL1, 2, 3) are key mediators of Wnt pathway playing a role in constitutive onco‑ genic signaling influencing the tumor microenvironment. While previous studies showed correlation of β-catenin with T cell gene expression, little is known about the role of DVL2 in modulating tumor immunity.
