Liquid phase microextraction (LPME) procedures have been widely used in combination with atomic and emission spectroscopic techniques for the isolation and preconcentration of trace elements. However, its application in combination with total reflection X-ray spectrometry (TXRF) is still scarce. In this paper, we evaluate the possibilities and drawbacks of a two-phase hollow fiber LPME procedure in combination with TXRF for the simultaneous determination of trace amounts of Cr, Ni, Cu, Zn, Pb, and Cd in aqueous samples.

A Study was conducted to ascertain the level of Acquired Skills of trainees with respect to vermicompost production technology of training imparted by K.V.K. Birauli, Farmers were selected from the four villages namely Morsand, Harpur, Chandauli, and Jagdishpur under Pusa block of Samastipur district and imparted training on vermicompost production technology. 40 trained and 40 untrained farmers from these villages were selected for study purpose making the sample size up to 80 farmers.

This research was conducted to prepare apricot jam from the pulp of fresh mature apricots by using artificial sweeteners .Apricots were washed with clean water to remove dust particles. After sorting and pitting, apricots were cut into two halves and dipped in 0.1% citric acid solution to avoid browning. The pulp of apricots was extracted by using plumper. Apricot pulp was heated to get the desired consistency. Low heating was continued and brix were noted after every 20 minutes. Pectin with small amount of nonnutritive sweeteners were dissolved separately and added to the mixture.

We propose in this paper a method for quantifying sentence grammaticality. The approach based on Property Grammars, a constraint-based syntactic formalism, makes it possible to evaluate a grammaticality index for any kind of sentence, including ill-formed ones. We compare on a sample of sentences the grammaticality indices obtained from PG formalism and the acceptability judgements measured by means of a psycholinguistic analysis.

Laboratory data for peripheral blood lymphocyte subset analysis from ten patients with the diagnosis of PTB were examined retrospectively in the Immunology Unit at King Khalid University Hospital Riyadh. There were 4 female and 6 male patients with the mean age of 27 ± 6 years. Diagnosis of PTB was confirmed on clinical, radiological and microbiological evidence. Blood samples were collected prior to initiation of anti-tuberculosis therapy. None of the patients included in the study had any evidence of suffering from diabetes, HIV infection or autoimmune diseases.

The following points support our choice of methods. Other methods have proposed the use of standard beads (Polysciences latex beads), as well described by Gasol and del Giorgio in 2000. Briefly, the beads have to be counted every day and must be sonicated to avoid aggregation. Flow rate calibration can be performed by weighing a tube containing water, processing various volumes, estimating the time needed for each volume to go through and then reweighing the tube. This makes it possible to calculate the mean of the flow rate per minute (Paul, 2001).
