Eight cases of long bone fractures of femur and humerus were treated with plate rod construct, whereas, the preoperative anterio- posterior (AP) and lateral radiographs (L) of fractured limb were taken. Diazepam (0.2 mg/kg) was administered intravenously, 10 minutes prior to induction of general anaesthesia with thiopentone sodium (15 mg/kg body weight) followed by maintained with isoflurane (1.5 - 2.0 %). the plate rod construct was applied by craniolateral approach in case of humerus and femur bone in dogs.

Humeral shaft fractures are generally managed with the conventional posterior open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) or minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis (MIPO). This study was aimed at comparing the outcomes of these surgical techniques in terms of the vascular integrity of the mid-distal humeral shaft.

The optimal method for the reduction and fixation of posterior malleolar fracture (PMF) remains inconclusive. Currently, both of the indirect and direct reduction techniques are widely used. We aimed to compare the reduction quality and clinical outcome of posterior malleolar fracture managed with the direct reduction technique through posterolateral approach or the indirect reduction technique using ligamentotaxis.

Clinically there are different fixation methods used for fixation of the posterior malleolar fractures (PMF), but the best treatment modality is still not clear. Few studies have concentrated on this issue, least of all using a biomechanical comparison.

Geriatric acetabular fractures require fixation with sufficient primary stability to allow for immediate full-weight bearing. Minimally-invasive procedures would be desirable in order to keep perioperative morbidity low. The purpose of this study was to compare the biomechanical strength of lag screw-only fixation of anterior column posterior hemi-transverse (ACPHT) acetabular fractures to standard anatomical plate fixation.

Fractures of the humeral shaft represent 2–4% of all fractures. Fractures of the humerus have traditionally been approached posteriorly for open reduction and internal fixation. Reports of treating midshaft fractures with an open anterolateral approach and anterior plating are limited.

C1-ring osteosynthesis is a valid alternative to posterior C1–C2 or C0–C2 fusion to preserve important C1–C2 motion in the treatment of unstable atlas fractures. Nevertheless, the fixation instruments used in current studies for transoral anterior C1-ring osteosynthesis were not suitable for anterior anatomy of the atlas or did not have reduction mechanism.

The present study was carried out on the third to fifteenth coccygeal vertebrae of six specimens of adult Blue bull (Boselaphus tragocamelus) of either sex. The Cy3-Cy6 presented complete arches and spinous processes. The transverse processes and cranial non-articular processes were present in Cy3-Cy6 and then reduced in caudal part of the series. The transverse processes were found to be plate like that were directed downward, backward and exceeded beyond the level of the posterior articular surface of the body in Cy3.

The main diagnostic character of polyconitid rudists is a distinctive ectomyophoral cavity inserted behind a reflexed posterior myophoral plate in the left valve. The only pre-Aptian Old World polyconitid taxon recognized in the current literature is Horiopleura dumortieri (Matheron): this species clearly shows the prominent posterior myophoral shelf in the right valve that is diagnostic of the genus, which continues into the Albian.

Agria darderi Astre and Mathesia terticolloquiirudistarum Mainelli represent a single taxonomic entity: Mathesia darderi (Astre). Mathesia is characterized by an erect posterior myophoral plate and an anterior myophoral crest in the LV, the RV myophores being on the shell wall.

One new and two unknown species of free living marine nematodes belonging to family Oxystominidae are described from Cangio mangrove forest, Hochiminh city of Vietnam. The Oxystomina paraclavicaudata sp. nov. is characterized by the long conico-cylindrical tail with claviform tip, the double parallel spicules and the pre-and postvulval papillae. The species Litinium sp1.

The uterosacral ligaments arise from the sacral vertebrate S2,3,4 and attach to the cervical ring posteriorly. It is an effective insertion point of the downward muscle force, the longitudinal muscle of the anus (LMA). The rectovaginal fascia extends as a sheet between the lateral rectal pillars, from the perineal body below to the levator plate above. It is attached to the uterosacral ligaments (USL) and the fascia surrounding the cervix. The perineal body lies between the distal third of the posterior vaginal wall and the anus below the pelvic floor. It is 3-4 cm long.
