A three month old Sirohi breed of kid was presented with history of gradual off feed maintained in an organized farm. On clinical examination of kid revealed dehydration, dullness, anemic and the condition is deteriorated and suffering with respiratory distress leading to death of kid. On postmortem examination of kid reveled that, there was one hard ball, in the rumen. The hairballs occupied most of the rumen leaving little space for food and therefore, it was considered to be the cause of the in-appetence.

Otomycosis is an acute, subacute or chronic fungal infection of the external auditory canal. It is worldwide in distribution with a higher prevalence in the hot, humid, and dusty areas of the tropics and subtropics. A wide variety of fungi can cause Otomycosis. In this study, our aim was to determine the most common mode of presentation, predisposing factors, and the spectrum of fungi involved in Otomycosis. 60 Ear discharge samples were collected aseptically using two sterile cotton swabs. One swab was used for direct microscopic examination and used for fungal culture.

Otomycosis is an external ear canal infection caused by various fungi. The aim of this study was to identify the fungal agents, predisposing factors and characteristics of patients. Between June 2018 to December 2018, 66 patients with clinical suspicion of otomycosis were enrolled and the samples from their external ear were examined for any mycological infection. Otomycosis was confirmed after mycological diagnosis in 60 of clinically suspected patients. Otomycosis was found to be more common among females (38) and majority in the age-group 30-40 years (34.84%).

Candida species are unusual cause of urinary tract infections in healthy individuals, but common in hospital setting or among patients with predisposing factors. The isolation of Candida from urine is challenging both for clinician and microbiologist as to whether the candiduria represents colonization or urinary tract infection. Factors predisposing to colorectal cancer in UC patients consist of pancolitis, duration of disease, active disease and its severity. Early UC onset is another independent risk factor. Beside these factors, dysplasia represents the precancerous lesion from which colorectal cancer subsequently arise (Morson, 1962; Morson & Pang, 1967). Osteoporosis and fractures may increase due to hypoestrogenism in menopause and cytochrome P450 inducing AEDs. Recent studies suggest lower bone mineral density (BMD) in adults and children with epilepsy, irrespective of AED treatment. Both idiopathic epilepsy and symptomatic epilepsy are associated with reduced BMD, with the greatest reduction in symptomatic generalized epilepsy (Sheth & Hermann, 2008). However, the pathophysiological underlying mechanisms are far from understood and likely multifactorial.
