Patients who have had a negative experience with the health care delivery bypass primary healthcare facilities and instead seek care in hospitals. There is a dearth of evidence on the role of users’ perceptions of the quality of care on outpatient visits to primary care facilities. This study aimed to examine the relationship between perceived quality of care and the number of outpatient visits to nearby health centers.

The primary healthcare system in Pakistan focuses on providing episodic, disease-based care. Health care for low-middle income communities is largely through a fee-for-service model that ignores preventive and health-promotive services. The growing burden of cardiovascular illnesses requires restructuring of the primary health care system allowing a community-to-clinic model of care to improve patient- and community-level health indicators.

Many policymakers and advocates assume that directed and query-based health information exchange (HIE) work together to meet organizations’ interoperability needs, but this is not grounded in a substantial evidence base. This study sought to clarify the relationship between the usage of these 2 approaches to HIE.

Existing strategies appear to be insufficient. One proposed alternative strategy, Service Delivery Redesign for Maternal and Neonatal Health (SDR), centers on strengthening higher level health facilities to provide rapid, definitive care in case of delivery and post-natal complications, and then promoting delivery in these hospitals, rather than in primary care facilities.

This study tends to investigate and assess the average waiting time (WT) in Dubai primary healthcare services centers. Healthcare centers will face critical problems if WT is not solved properly. Accordingly, this study tries to dig a deep insight on such problem and provides proper suggestions to reduce WT. An Electronic Medical Record audit is used to count the patients’ WT during a four-week period in health care service centers employing a universal sampling approach.

Prescription practices, especially in South Asian countries, have come under investigation for quality. Although there have been no studies in Nepal that have analyzed the prescription pattern of FDCs for different levels of health care centers, several studies from Nepal and other countries in the region have revealed poor medicine use practices, including irrational use of fixed-dose drug combinations (FDCs).

Globally, neonatal mortality accounts for nearly half of under-five mortality, and intrapartum related events are a leading cause. Despite the rise in neonatal resuscitation (NR) training programs in low- and middleincome countries, their impact on the quality of NR skills amongst providers with limited formal medical education, particularly those working in rural primary health centers (PHCs), remains incompletely understood.

The law increases overall funding for community health centers by $11 billion over five years, starting in 2011. Of this, $9.5 billion will allow health centers to expand their operational capacity to enhance their medical, oral, and behavioral health services and $1.5 billion will fund expansion through capital expenditures. In doing so, the law helps community health centers provide comprehensive primary care to medically underserved populations—the target populations of community health centers—including low-income, poor, uninsured, migrant and immigrant communities....
