Hereditary chromosomal 9 inversion (p22q13) 9 as a cause for recurrent pregnancy loss: A case report
Chromosomal aberrations are as common as 13.8% in the infertile population. The incidence of pericentric inversion of chromosome 9 is approximately 1–3%. However, although these inversions do not alternate phenotype, there have been conflicting data about their effect as they were correlated with infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, and deceased children, with no clear evidence of the inversions being the causative factor for these events.

Cross-cutting or inter-cutting is a primary narrative device of the continuity style. This technique pieces together sequences that occur at the same time but in different places in order to increase narrative tension. The literary equivalent of this device is simple narrative transition such as “meanwhile” or “in another part of town”. Some films borrow these verbal clues by using inter-titles or voice-over narration. Clips mentioned in this section are not available to view on the website but are readily available to buy or rent from the usual outlets. ...

The five major NCDs are heart disease, stroke, cancer, chronic respiratory diseases and diabetes. There is strong scientific evidence that healthy diet and adequate physical activity (i.e. ≥30 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity, ≥5 days per week) play an important role in the prevention of these diseases. Furthermore, it is estimated that approximately 80% of heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and 40% of cancers can be prevented through inexpensive and cost-effective interventions that address the primary risk factors. ...

The presentation "Biomass pollution basics" addresses the basics of biomass burning and introduces participants to the concept of incomplete combustion, the wide range of pollutants emitted from wood fires and stoves and typical pollutant concentrations. Two pollutants are of primary interest for both health effects and IAP monitoring: particulate matter (PM) and carbon monoxide (CO). Smaller particles (PM2.5 and PM1) are likely to be most harmful, as they penetrate deep into the human lung. Larger particles are more likely to get 'filtered' by the upper respiratory tract.

Understanding the informational efficiency of loans is important because the secondary market for loans has grown rapidly during the past decade. The market for loans typically includes two broad categories, the first is the primary or syndicated loan market, in which portions of a loan are placed with a number of banks, often in conjunction with, and as part of, the loan origination process (usually referred to as the sale of participations). The second category is the seasoned or secondary loan sales market in which a bank subsequently sells an existing loan (or part of a loan)....

If you have early Stage I ovarian cancer, the extent of surgery may depend on whether you want to get pregnant and have children. Some women with very early ovarian cancer may decide with their doctor to have only one ovary, one fallopian tube, and the omentum removed. You may be uncomfortable for the first few days after surgery. Medicine can help control your pain. Before surgery, you should discuss the plan for pain relief with your doctor or nurse. After surgery, your doctor can adjust the plan if you need more pain relief.

Excessive daytime sleepiness is often result of self-imposed sleep deprivation espetially in young people. More often it is effect of disturbed nocturnal sleep or misaligned circadian rhytms. It may be side effect of many often-used drugs, for example hypnotics or alcohol. Nocturnal sleep disturbances, which lead to EDS, should be carefully assessed and treated. In several conditions EDS is not an outcome of night-sleep loss and should be considered as primary hypersomnia of central origin.

Infertility is defined as the failure to conceive after one year of attempting pregnancy. Primary infertility denotes those patients who have never conceived. Secondary infertility applies to patients who have conceived previously. Approximately 15% of couples experience infertility, which may result from subfertility or sterility (the innate inability to conceive) in either partner or both. The female is responsible in 40%–50% of cases. The male is responsible in 30% and is contributory in another 20%–30% of couples.
