While sequence specificities for a large set of 205 RBPs have been reported through the RNAcompete compendium, structure specificities are known for only a small fraction. Studies were undertaken to evaluate the rice genotypes of Sikkim and Tripura for their resistance against brown planthopper (BPH) under glasshouse conditions. Among 74 rice genotypes phenotyped, a genotype (AC-39843) was considered as resistant and two other genotype (AC-39842 and AC-39877) of Tripura were categorized as moderately resistant to BPH. To understand their mechanism of resistance, resistant genotypes were evaluated for different parameter of antixenosis and antibiosis.

In this work, a critical review of the current nondestructive probing and image analysis approaches is presented, to revealing otherwise invisible or hardly discernible details in manuscripts and paintings relevant to cultural heritage and archaeology. Multispectral imaging, X-ray fluorescence, Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy and Thermography are considered, as techniques for acquiring images and spectral image sets; statistical methods for the analysis of these images are then discussed, including blind separation and false colour techniques.
