Producing and consuming clean

Due to awareness of consumers towards clean and safe meat availability, plant secondary metabolites (PSMs) such as essential oils, organic acids, saponins and flavonoids etc. are rapidly gaining attention since last few decades. PSMs are the secondary compounds that are produced by plants and they don’t have primary role as nutrients. These can be the effective alternative to antibiotics because of their promising effects on overall performance of poultry and monogastric animals. Saponins are high molecular weight glycosides which are able to form foam in aqueous solution.

People’s mood improves with their prospects of survival, utility and health and deteriorates with their loneliness. These mood-determinants are affected by the allocation of active-time to social interaction, learning, producing and consuming clean and dirty goods and exercising. In turn, people’s returns on these activities increase with their mood and people’s active time lengthens with their health. In addition to being improved by exercising and good mood, personal health is affected by the state of a commonly shared environment.

A weed is essentially any plant which grows where it is not required. A weed can be thought of as any plant growing in the wrong place at the wrong time and doing more harm than good. Weeds are the most severe and widespread biological constraint to crop production, and cause invisible damage till the crop is harvested. The composition and competition by weeds are dynamic and dependent on soil, climate, cropping and management factors. Weeds decrease the value of land, particularly perennial weeds, which tend to accumulate on long fallows; increase cost of cleaning.

In traditional method of agricultural marketing farmers were exploited by the middlemen by taking major share in the consumer’s price. In view of multiple benefits of online trading, the farmers in Karnataka were taking their business online, because of Unified Marketing Platform (UMP) an initiative by the state govt. launched in 2014 by the Rashtriya e-market services (ReMS).
