  • The results of resreach showed that rice areas were not distributed relatively uniform in all districts and the rice yield had average level when compared with the other rice cultivation areas. Rice yields in Thai Nguyen province sharply increased from 4.87 tons/ha (2010) to 5.49 tons/ha (2020) with the slightly decreasing the rice areas, it is proved that the farmer was not concerned to increase the planting areas while they focused on rising the yield potential and quality.

  • This study investigated extracted OS structures derived from three different rice bran AX using Ultraflo Max. Rice bran AX extracted from commercially defatted rice bran (COM) yielded the greatest OS amount (83.39 mg/g RBAX), followed by that of the Sanpahtawng cultivar (27.05 mg/g RBAX), and lastly, the Chainat1 cultivar (21.53 mg/g RBAX), as evidenced via Ultraflo Max enzyme hydrolysis. Interestingly, A3X was the primary OS product in all rice bran AX hydrolysates prepared by Ultraflo Max.

  • Bananas are among the world‟s leading food crops, after rice, wheat and maize. Banana is a dessert fruit for millions and it contains nearly all the essential nutrients. Banana accounts for 31.7 per cent of the total fruit production in India. It has short shelf life of 6- 10 days under tropical condition. Converting this perishable fresh fruit into shelf stable high value products like powder flour will be of immense value. The present study was undertaken to develop health mix from `Chakkai banana variety.

  • Three Trichoderma isolates (THDU-1, THDU-2, and THDU-3) were isolated from the root zone area of healthy bananas on the farm in Ba Thuoc district, Thanh Hoa province. All of these isolates showed high inhibitory activity against soil borne diseases Rhizoctonia solani and Sclerotium rolfsii. Our study proposed a protocol of Trichoderma mass multiplication using rice media based on solid substrate fermentation (SSF) to produce commercial product of Trichoderma.

  • In this study, under the background of over all food security in India, an attempt have been made to analyse behavior of area, irrigated area, production and productivity of rice, wheat and maize. The descriptive statistics of area, irrigated area, production and productivity of the given crop have been analysed. For the modelling and forecasting purpose Box– Jenkins ARIMA modelling technique has been used to analyse the information from 1951 through 2015.

  • Rice occupies a pivotal place in Indian agriculture and provides 43% calorie requirement for more than 70 % of its people. It accounts for about 42% of total food grain production and 55% of cereal production in the country. The CGAR (from 1997-98 to 2017-18) of area, production and productivity under all rice was found as 1.09 per cent, 0.68 per cent and 0.62 per cent, respectively, while that of boro rice it was found as1.73 per cent, 1.58 per cent and 0.91 per cent, respectively.

  • The efficacy of six different systemic fungicides and two combi-products were evaluated for inhibition of growth of pathogen at three different concentrations. Among systemic and combi-products fungicides were evaluated, the cent per cent inhibition was observed in Propiconazole 25 % EC, Tebuconazole 250 EC, Azoxystrobin 18.2 % + Difenconazole 11.4 % SC and Tebuconazole 50 % + Trifloxystrobin 25 % WG at all the concentrations.

  • Analysis of variance indicated the existence of significant differences among the progenies for all the traits. Correlation co-efficients among grain yield and its fourteen attributing traits were estimated in two hundred F3 population of rice. The study revealed significant positive correlation of number of filled grains per panicle, spikelet fertility, total number grains per panicle, number of productive tillers per plant and 1000-grain weight with grain yield.

  • Water is the most important component of agriculture production, especially during the dry seasons when all water sources are scarce yet water needs are very high. The Mekong river delta in Vietnam is the largest agricultural and aquacultural region in the country where about half of the Delta’s land area is used for rice and upland crop cultivation.

  • Agriculture plays an important role in rural development. Rice is the more popular staple food of more than 80 per cent of the world population. It contributes 42 per cent of the total food production in India. The present study is based on secondary time series data. The compound growth rates, instability and standard cost concepts were use for the present study. It concluded that the compound growth rates for area were positive for all most all the district of EVZ except Gondia. The growth rates of area were below one per cent indicates that paddy is the traditional crop in study area.

  • Maize (Zea mays L.) is the most important cereal Indian food crops and known as queen of cereal due to unparallel productivity among cereal crops in India, Maize occupies third position both in area and production after Rice and Wheat. The Bhilwara region occupies a place of pride in production of Maize, contributing about 48.0 percent of the total production and more than 38.47 percent area of the Rajasthan state. Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Chittorgarh district is engaged in transfer of technology in all major crops in its operational areas.

Mean variation was high for number of grains and plant height for all the crosses. The characters like plant height, number of productive tillers and number of grains were showed complementary gene interaction for all back cross population. While for thousand grain weight and single plant yield were explained complementary gene interactions in two backcross populations.
