Bacteria-based biotechnological processes are applied to minimize the content of CNG in food products. For the usability and identification of the added value of plant food resources, it is important to know the functions and importance of antinutritional components of metabolism with a consequent impact on nutrition and health. In the review we provided a comprehensive view of the importance and potential of CNG in plants with a focus on food resources, where the model object was presented by linseed.

An experiment was conducted to find out the effect of supplementing different levels of linseed oil in the laying hens’ diet on hen day egg production, body weight change, egg shape index and economics of feeding, during a period of 16 weeks. One hundred forty White Leghorn layers were randomly allocated into seven experimental groups having 5 replications of 4 birds in each and sited in individual cages from 22 to 38 weeks of age.

A field experiment was conducted during rabi season of 2005-2006 at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Deendayal Research Institute, Majhagawan, Satna to studies on productivity and economic viability of various wheat based inter cropping systems under rain fed conditions of Kaymore Plateau. The experiment comprised of three intercropping treatments with different row proportions chickpea, linseed and mustard. The two years study revealed that the intercropping of wheat +chickpea in 2:2 row proportions proved better over other intercropping or mono-cropping system in terms of land equivalent ratio (1.

Linseed and mustard are the most important prehistoric crops in the world, usually cultivated as major rabi oilseeds in India. The major constraints for low productivity are inadequate supply of nutrients and poor production practices. Technological demonstrations on linseed and mustard were conducted at 58 locations covering 24.4 ha area in participatory mode using improved linseed cultivar JLS 9, JLS 23 and mustard (pusa mahak) during 2007-08 to 2011-12.

A field experiment was conducted during rabi seasons of 2015-16 and 2016-17 at Soil Conservation and Water Management Farm of C S Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur to find out suitable row ratio of linseed + lentil/barley in intercropping systems under rainfed condition. The results revealed that linseed performed better in intercropping than sole cropping. Among different cropping systems, linseed + lentil (3:1) exhibited maximum linseed equivalent yield of 13.33 & 12.11 q ha-1 and earned maximum production efficiency of 9.81 & 9.

Flaxseed is known as a source of Omega-3 fatty acid. Alpha-Linolenic Acid (ALA) constitutes about 57% of the total fatty acid in flaxseed. There is a need to promote the use of Omega-3 fatty acid for nutritional requirements. Linseed contains a high amount of Omega-3. An enriched mouth freshener (containing Omega-3 fatty acid) was developed with incorporation of Flaxseed to evaluate sensory quality and nutritional value of the product. Flaxseed Mouth Freshener was standardized using organoleptic evaluation technique with help of 10 panel members using 9- point hedonic ranking scale.

The study was conducted to develop the methane mitigation through lipid supplementation in buffaloes. Linseed oil was used in the concentrate mixture and five different concentrate mixtures were prepared using 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 percent linseed oil. The combinations were made of these concentrate mixtures with gram straw in the ratio of 10:90 to 90:10 for straw: concentrate mixture and evaluated for in-vitro methane production and in-vitro dry matter digestibility.

Trends of area, production and productivity of linseed in different districts of Chhattisgarh, India
The districts of Durg (R = 0.27) and Rajnandgaon (R= 0.14) also show increasing production trend, which is non-significant. The productivity of linseed is significantly increasing in all districts due to introduction of high yielding varieties and agricultural mechanization in recent years.

Field experiment was conducted on clayey soil of the college farm, N. M. College of Agriculture, Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari during rabi season of 2016-2017 to study the effect of integrated weed management on growth parameters, yield, yield attributes and economics of linseed (Linum usitatissimum L.). Production potential, higher profit and effective weed control in linseed can be achieved by maintaining weed free through hand weeding throughout crop growth period, where labours are easily available. In case of labours scarcity, application of pendimethalin 0.

This study is concerned with the production of haploids of linseed. Anthers of eight genotypes were cultured both on solid and in liquid medium. It was found that callus induction rate was low in both media and also the cultivars significantly affected callus induction rate both on solid and in liquid medium.
