Undernutrition is a significant risk factor for mortality, complications, hospital infections, length of hospital stay, quality of life, and prognosis. Patients with proper nutrition will help prevent undernutrition, prevent the development of the disease, and improve the effectiveness of treatment. Nutrition is an integral part of the comprehensive treatment process.

Appendiceal Mucocele (AM) is a very rare disease, believed to be more common in middle-aged women, and includes both non-neoplastic and neoplastic lesions. If not diagnosed and treated early, it can lead to mucin leakage, spilling into the peritoneal cavity, resulting in severe consequences, particularly the complication of pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP), which has a very poor prognosis.

Gastric Adenocarcinoma: Treatment Complete surgical removal of the tumor with resection of adjacent lymph nodes offers the only chance for cure. However, this is possible in less than a third of patients. A subtotal gastrectomy is the treatment of choice for patients with distal carcinomas, while total or near-total gastrectomies are required for more proximal tumors. The inclusion of extended lymph node dissection in these procedures appears to confer an added risk for complications without enhancing survival.
