Brucellosis is a zoonosis whose incidence is not declining worldwide despite the global effort to control the disease. Accurate and precise diagnosis is a crucial step in any prophylaxis program but single tests to unequivocally detect animals infected with Brucella spp. are currently unavailable.

Rabies is the oldest zoonotic disease known to mankind. Most of the human cases reported worldwide are due to dog bite, although few cases may be transmitted by non-bite exposures. Theoretically high-risk exposures include direct contact of broken skin or mucosa with saliva, tears, oropharyngeal secretions and CSF. Hereby we narrate our risk assessment and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) for HCWs at our hospital after a case of rabies was detected.

Needle stick injuries (NSIs) are the injuries that are caused by needles, such as hypodermic needles, blood collection needles, intravenous stylets, and needles used to connect parts of intravenous delivery systems. NSIs are very common and in many instances unavoidable among healthcare providers when they are delivering patient care. Around 75% of the NSIs in developing countries are not reported. This study aimed to estimate the prevalence and other correlates and attributes of NSIs among healthcare providers in a tertiary care teaching hospital in South India. .

An Erb’s Engram is a common debility that develops in recovering children with Erb’s palsy. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of kinesiotaping over the deltoid and the forearm on the development of proper upper extremity function in children recovering from Erb’s palsy. Thirty patients with Erb’s palsy participated for 3 months in this study and were equally divided into two groups; control group A and study group B.
