In this study, the gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) were synthesized via redox reaction, by using ethylene diamine tetra-acetic acid (EDTA) as a protecting and reducing agent, with tetrachloroauric acid (HAuCl4) as precursor and seed solution. The ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis) method was utilized to investigated the reaction conditions (the EDTA:HAuCl4 ratio, the amount of seed solution and stirring solution time) at room temperature. The synthesized AuNPs were deposited on the surface of fluorine doped tin oxide (FTO) by electrophoresis deposition.

Vaccines are powerful agents in infectious disease prevention but often designed to protect against some strains that are most likely to spread and cause diseases. Most vaccines do not succeed in eradicating the pathogen and thus allow the potential emergence of vaccine evading strains.

Wildlife conservation is a pressing global concern, with the need to create and manage protected areas where multiple species can coexist without facing the threat of extinction. In this paper, we proposed an Agent-Based Model that simulates the interactions and life activities of tigers, leopards, and wild boars within a 400 km2 area, approximately the area of standard conservation.

The skin is the largest organ of the human body, accounting for 16% of the body weight. It serves various functions, including protection, excretion, synthesis, and temperature regulation. Additionally, the skin is the outermost organ of the body, directly interacting with physical, chemical, and biological agents from the external environment.

Factor influencing the survivability of Tetragenococcus halophilus CH6-2 in the spray drying process
In this study, several factors affecting Tetragenococcus halophilus CH6-2 cell survival rate in spray drying process including growth conditions, protective agents, and stress adaption were investigated. T. halophilus CH6-2, which was grown in different media, was mixed with different protective agents or at different ratios of cell concentration to protective agents or was subjected to stress adaption before spray drying.

Nanoparticles have been extensively in recent years. The effective applications of nanoparticles depend on their sizes. Copper nanoparticles (CuNPs) are among metal nanoparticles which have been reported by many researchers. In this work, CNPs have been synthesized from copper sulfate via chemical reduction method in the presence of trisodium citrate dispersant and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) as protecting agents.

Evaluation of the protective effect of AGAR-HP hard capsule for peptic ulcer in experimental animals
Imbalance between exogenous damaging agents and protective factors in the gastro-duodenum tract can lead to peptic ulcer disease. Herbal medicines could be an effective treatment to human gastric ulcers. This study aimed to investigate the protective effect of AGAR-HP hard capsules on cysteamine-induced gastric-duodenal ulcers in experimental rats.

Glaesserella parasuis, the causative agent of Glӓsser’s disease, is widespread in swine globally resulting in significant economic losses to the swine industry. Prevention of Glӓsser’s disease in pigs has been plagued with an inability to design broadly protective vaccines, as many bacterin based platforms generate serovar or strain specific immunity.

Bacillus anthracis is the causative agent of anthrax, a disease of both humans and various animal species, and can be used as a bioterror agent. Effective vaccines are available, but those could benefit from improvements, including increasing the immunity duration, reducing the shot frequency and adverse reactions. In addition, more sophisticated antigen delivery and potentiation systems are urgently required.
