Cerebellar degeneration-related (CDR) proteins are associated with paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration (PCD) – a rare, neurodegenerative disease caused by tumour-induced autoimmunity against neural antigens resulting in degeneration of Purkinje neurons in the cerebellum.

Prostate cancer is a disease that seriously troubles men. However, there are some inevitable limitations in interventional therapy for prostate cancer patients at present, most of which are caused by low selectivity and high toxic side effects due to unclear drug targets. In this study, we identified the target protein of Curcusone C with antiprostate cancer potential activity and verified its target and mechanism of action.

The type I interferon (IFN) response is an ancient pathway that protects cells against viral pathogens by inducing the transcription of hundreds of IFNstimulated genes. Comprehensive catalogs of IFN-stimulated genes have been established across species and cell types by transcriptomic and biochemical approaches, but their antiviral mechanisms remain incompletely characterized.

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a significant threat to human health globally. Diseases caused by AMR are getting more challenging to cure due to the increasing rate of resistance of microbial pathogens. Drugs formulated with antimicrobial peptide (AMP) can be applied to treat these diseases. AMPs are found naturally within organisms, especially amphibians, and is related to the high adaptability of defence mechanisms against various pathogens and predators in the environment.

Trichophyton rubrum is the main etiological agent of skin and nail infections worldwide. Because of its keratinolytic activity and anthropophilic nature, infection models based on the addition of protein substrates have been employed to assess transcriptional profiles and to elucidate aspects related to host-pathogen interactions. Chalcones are widespread compounds with pronounced activity against dermatophytes.

In the present study, SDS-Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis was used to separate protein sub units of albumin and globulin under reducing conditions to study the induction or disappearance during inhibition of germination. The molecular masses of the albumin and globulin protein subunits were estimated in relation to the motilities of the standard molecular mass proteins (Bio-Rad). However the SDS PAGE resolution of seed albumin in Pusa vishal and K851 showed 9-13 band corresponding to 110-5.

Peste-des-petits ruminants (PPR) is an economically devastating viral disease of sheep and goats. In the present study, we have evaluated the reactivity profile of the recombinant non-structural protein C of PPR virus with vaccinated and convalescent goat sera in an indirect ELISA. The antibody against this protein is getting produced in both vaccinated as well as in convalescent animals.

In India, there is a growing interest in donkey milk mainly because of its antimicrobial properties. The aim of this study was to know the microbial profile and to investigate antibacterial effect of raw donkey milk against Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus). Average values of fat, SNF, cholesterol, proteins, lactose, salt, temperature and pH were 0.67, 8.05, 30.4, 2.95, 4.43, 0.66, 30.83 oC and 7.08 respectively. The total viable count in the neat donkey milk samples varied from 220 to 2080 cfu/ml (918 or 2.96 log cfu/ml on average).

Greengram also known as mungbean is an important pulse crop with remarkable source of high quality protein, vitamins, fibres and amino acid profiles. In India, it stands third in production. The lower productivity of greengram is attributed to biotic stresses, among which powdery mildew caused by Erysiphe polygni is one of the major fungal diseases and in severe cases it covers entire leaf area, affects the photosynthetic activity, reduces mungbean yield more than 50%. In the present study, 130 genotypes were screened against E.

Neonatal calf diarrhoea (NCD) is a major threat to dairy industries. It is a multi-etiology disease with E. coli as the predominant cause. Emergence of antimicrobial resistance is of utmost concern because it has rendered the present day antibiotics less effective. The present study aims for isolation, molecular characterization and antimicrobial resistant profiling of E. coli from neonatal calves. One hundred two fecal samples were collected from neonatal calves for isolation of E. coli. All the isolates showed positive result on biochemical analysis. But only 78.

Design of multivalent ligand is significant in restraining the interaction involved in the binding of influenza virus to its host cell. This molecular dynamics (MD) simulation study aims to study the mode of binding of dimeric NeuNAc analogues coupled by different nano-spacers into the multimeric binding sites of neuraminidase and haemagglutinin of influenza A H5N1 virus. In total, 80 NeuNAc analogue dimers were modeled and docked against the binding sites of neuraminidase and haemagglutinin.

In recent years, the Court invalidated two con- gressional statutes that attempted to regulate non- economic activities. In United States v. Lopez (1995), it struck down the Gun-Free School Zones Act, which attempted to reach the activity of possessing a gun within a thousand feet of a school. In United States v. Morrison (2000), it invalidated part of the Violence Against Women Act, which regulated gen- der-motivated violence.
